You know what the third rail is, right? It's the high-powered electrical line that runs a subway. You touch it, you die.

Trying to get info about GW, is like touching the third rail ;)

Gotcha :)

Is there anyone else suprised that there is NO mention of Steven on this blog!?

Ya that bothered me too! Or on their own site if it is theirs as well!!

I know it's not the single's ward, but they could help with the ONE question we have.

Scroll down on this site = bishopric

http://bloomington7thword.blogspot.com/2009/03/draper-temple-dedication.html

That's a completely different ward, 4 miles away, across the freeway, with different "management". None of those people have anything to do with Steven's ward. They may (or may not) be in the same stake.

Bloomington 7th -- the website we all keep finding.
3381 Mulberry Drive, St George, Utah

Bloomington HILLS 7th -- Steven's ward.
1130 East Brigham Rd, St George, Utah

Go ahead and call them, though. Maybe they have access to other wards' schedules?

Yup. There's two unofficial websites for Bloomington Hills 7th YSA, and NEITHER mentions Steven's disappearance.

In fact, he isn't even named, as being present in the pictures he is present in. It's like the girls got together, put up a site, and name-checked their faves.

EDIT:

Remember, though, that Steven didn't move to St George until some time in April. So he's not going to be in pictures before that time.

BUT....you'd think someone would CARE enough to update that website.

That ward knows something.. IMO... That is where the buck stops and it is seriously irritating me!!! :banghead::banghead::furious:

To comment on your edit... I wouldn't be surprised if they deleted or took down their posts from after that time... Why would a blogger NOT use their blog as a way to get out information as to a missing person??

I got interested in Steven's case, due to Susan Powell overload. I have to admit, I have nothing in common with either of them, don't know them, and would probably never meet them.

But Steven's case drew me in because of the "into thin air" aspect, as well as the fascinating details.

BUT, I'VE NOTICED SOMETING ELSE.
I've WATCHED as Susan Powell's friends and fellow church members plan activities every week, and pummel the news media with arguments, swing sets, flyers, a memorial, a foundation, press conferences, "make a blanket" day, etc, etc, etc. Sometimes, I could just scream at the TV when one of the "familiar faces" comes on, saying the same thing. BUT, they're ON and they're working to keep the story alive.

On the other hand:

I've WAITED for Steven Koecher's friends and fellow church members to do some of the same. It's like....silence!
Have they planned any press conferences or staged any "events" on their own?
Not that I've seen.
Have they held a vigil, and invited the press to watch and report?
Not that I've seen.
Have they held a "day of service" like Susan's friends/church members did?
Not that I've seen.
Have any of them stepped forward, with more information?
Not that I've seen.
Have they worked to make sure that the local paper has coverage?
Not that I've seen.
Were there any of Steven's "missing" flyers in the wardhouse?
According to a church member: NO.

WHAT is going on here?

I know it's a different ward, but would they all go on the same night?

Join us for WARD TEMPLE DAY on the second Friday of each month.

I don't know. It's like they've excommunicated him. Really.
(Oops - I just touched the third rail again.)

That is exactly why I am so intrigued as well... Doesn't add up.. And I don't think it is just because it is a single man either.. something just isn't right...

Yes, I saw that. At 6pm. Once a month.

I'm going to let "ACTIVE member, born and raised in the church" explain it.

In thier "defense" maybe they are moving towards Facebook rather than the blog. There are numerous mentions of SK on the BH Ward 7 Singles FB page.

...and the girl(s) who started that blogspot page, might not even be part of that ward anymore.

I may have missed it, but have the police made any "official" statements about SK and his disappearance? From what I recall, it's been mostly comments from others about what the police have or have not done. Am I wrong in this? Are they even actively investigating it without any sign of crime or foul play?

Det McKay with the Henderson PD is the lead detective, and per Naegle, there's an upcoming search (led by LE) soon. There's been no word, though, on when it's going to be conducted....or where.

I hope things haven't stalled, and that they're able to get more basic answers than we are.

I guess I just dont' see LE in the media like we do with Susan Powell and other missing people. I hope it hasn't stalled, but if they run into the same walls we do every day, it make me wonder.

I think in the Powell case, there's more crime scene than we know about. But until they find a body, they can't prove "crime".

Steven's case would be better of **without** those videos, ya know? They really add nothing, and if the car had just been found there, police might be treating it more like a crime scene.
