I got interested in Steven's case, due to Susan Powell overload. I have to admit, I have nothing in common with either of them, don't know them, and would probably never meet them.
But Steven's case drew me in because of the "into thin air" aspect, as well as the fascinating details.
BUT, I'VE NOTICED SOMETING ELSE.
I've WATCHED as Susan Powell's friends and fellow church members plan activities every week, and pummel the news media with arguments, swing sets, flyers, a memorial, a foundation, press conferences, "make a blanket" day, etc, etc, etc. Sometimes, I could just scream at the TV when one of the "familiar faces" comes on, saying the same thing. BUT, they're ON and they're working to keep the story alive.
On the other hand:
I've WAITED for Steven Koecher's friends and fellow church members to do some of the same. It's like....silence!
Have they planned any press conferences or staged any "events" on their own?
Not that I've seen.
Have they held a vigil, and invited the press to watch and report?
Not that I've seen.
Have they held a "day of service" like Susan's friends/church members did?
Not that I've seen.
Have any of them stepped forward, with more information?
Not that I've seen.
Have they worked to make sure that the local paper has coverage?
Not that I've seen.
Were there any of Steven's "missing" flyers in the wardhouse?
According to a church member: NO.
WHAT is going on here?
