ITA! The reason I was focusing on the Christmas party pics is because they were taken just a few days before Steven went missing.

Hey, all - this is an "in and out" week for me. I haven't had much time to post, but I don't see any new news to report. :(

Weight-height: It's hard to tell, isn't it? It depends who he's standing by. One of the "new" pictures has him standing next to someone who appears to be 6'6" and they're wearing each other's jackets. Steven looks tiny there.

In the Christmas dinner photos, Steven looks taller (to me) because he's next to shorter people. His sweater is kinda baggy.

In the photo the family seems to prefer (which they have on THEIR poster), Steven is in a white shirt with a necktie. He looks heavy in the face to me, not at all like the more casual photo on the FB page. I don't know if the family-preferred image is more recent, or if that's how they prefer to think of him.

But even at 5'10", 180's not thin. We don't know about "right now".

I wonder where the stats came from and how recent they were. Like, if they took those from his DMV records from 3 years ago, I can see how the weight would be off. The height? Well, you gotta wonder if folks take some liberties with these things, KWIM? Here in Vegas, you just put it on the form - they don't actually weigh and measure you - they just take your word for it. Is that the case in UT?

I don't ever remember them measuring me ;)

They used to take the photos next to a visible height measure, but not anymore.

They do, however, gently point out if your measurements don't match what they see in front of them.

The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. I was on vacation and then came back with the stomach flu. Have not yet read all the posts I missed. But, I will.

We ALL need some time off, restive, with a new returned attitude. I'm in and out right now myself.

Hope you're feeling better! Shouldn't be much to catch up on here - we haven't made much progress. :(

We need a new clue!

You are right Fairy we need something new.

If a person went missing, and was last seen on my block I would sure expect to be questioned more than once by LE and family. It would be talked about among the neighbors. Some may even walk their dogs in the desert to at least help a bit in finding the missing person.

It just seems as if there is absolutely no interest from the SCA neighborhood where SK was last seen. This is heart breaking. What if it were one of their own who were missing?

Sorry for venting.

Totally understandable. I think we're all frustrated right now. And the folks in SCA - who may very well have a killer in their midst - are not the only ones who don't seem to care.

I sure hope if I ever go missing, I won't have to depend on the type of folks we're seeing close to this case to find me!

I would like to know about the communications that occurred on Sunday, December 13th.

Do we know if the communication between GW and SK was verbal or were
they text messaging? Is there a way to know?

Was the communication(s) between SA and SK verbal or were these text messages? Same question as to whether LE can tell or would the cell companies provide the info?

Was SK good at texting and did he prefer to text over regular phone calls?

I guess I would like to know for sure that someone actually heard Steven's voice that Sunday morning - in Las Vegas.

These are verbal, it is in the timeline.

RR....I know about the timeline....have read it often....lol. I guess after watching so many people using their phones to text each other, I wondered if each guy actually
heard Steven...or did either or both of them text him? I see that the timeline says
that they were calls. I rarely text, but when I do, I receive on my statement the total
number of minutes used...without a date and time attached.

That's very weird.

Do you think this person is trying to tell us something? The reference to looking at things with new eyes, sometimes things are hidden in plain sight and not ruling things out prematurely. These references got my attention, when I read it.

I don't know. On the one hand, it sounds like basic internet posing, trying to sound like you know more than you know by being vague or mysterious. On the other -- I don't know. "Hidden in plain sight" might well fit the situation...or might just be generally good advice.

This is a new comment on the fb page by DS under "New Perspective". It has some interesting words and phrases in it.

Goodness! No shortage of caps and interesting punctuation, but I think what he's trying to say is that the family and friends need to consider that Steven was involved with something unsavory or illegal--drugs, prostitution, theft etc.

I am a plainspoken person by nature, so it tends to frustrate me when people talk and talk in riddles and drop clues and hints and hope that you'll eventually figure out what they're getting at when they could just come right out and say it!

Having said that, I'm sure he's trying to be helpful, and that's good. We seem to have reached somewhat of a wall right now.
