They gave a "detailed"description down to eye color and a sketch was released. So why not just give the name and address. I know hubby is now saying he did tell the police but for some reason I just don't quite buy it. We are supposed to believe (this time) the police knew who it was but release a sketch anywAy?

From what is being reported, police claim they didn't know who the suspect was until Thursday (today).

This quote sounds like they did:

Meyers knew Nowsch, which is how she identified the road-rage suspect, Robert Meyers told reporters later Tuesday afternoon. She gave him money and "tried to teach him how to be a man," the Associated Press reported. KLAS-TV said Tammy Meyers "had spent countless hours consoling the teen."

Another earlier post said that was why she was in fear, because she knew him and knew that he knew where they lived.

Yup and it's the contradiction between:

We know this boy. I couldn't tell you this before," Robert Meyers told reporters. "He knew where I lived. We knew how bad he was, but we didn't know it was this bad. That he'd gotten to this point, and his friends."

and:

Robert Meyers told Grace that his wife was trying to move the car because she didn’t want the car to be recognized in front of the family home.

that is...

I have stopped believing any of the parties involved, and hopefully when he goes to trial the truth will somehow come out.

My one question is with four children of her own, and a grandchild by her 20 year old son, what would ever possess this woman to "take in" the perpetrator and supposedly mentor him? Didn't she have enough with her own family? There's still a lot more that remains to be seen, in my opinion.

MOO

bbm: just because someone has been arrested doesn't preclude another person being charged later on especially if it is not known who fired the first shot right??? This may have an unexpected outcome MOO

Did you hear him say "For them (police) to find MY killer.." isn't that a red flag? What was he doing at that kids house 2 days ago?

that really stuck out for me too.......

you raise a good point, why were the Meyers harassing that household incessantly?

Where do you see that the family named him? I can't find that. All I see pertaining to that is :

However, police revealed that until Thursday, they were unaware that Tammy knew the suspect.

Previously, officers told the media there was no indication the parties knew each other, based off statements from Tammy's son and daughter.

If the son and daughter did not know that Tammy knew him... just HOW did she meet the little <mod snip>? Saw him on the street, told him to pull up his pants and come eat cookies and here, take some $$? Sorry.. most of the 'kids" I know in my neighborhood are friends of my kids. I do not just 'console' random teenaged boys..... And her HUBBY knows she does this but her kids do not?
Tammy may have known him... but am guessing it was not for life counseling and fashion recommendations~!

In one of the ever-evolving versions, Bob claimed that Tammy & Brandon left the house after dropping the daughter off so the suspect wouldn't know where they lived, because the suspect had allegedly threatened to kill Tammy & the daughter.

That version stunk from the get-go. If you're afraid of this dude killing you and/or your daughter, you don't leave your daughter at home alone. You call the police or go to the nearest police station.

Now we learn that they knew Eric all along - so that bomb shell blows each & every previous version of events to smithereens.

Not only that, the daughter & son wasted LE's time and resources by putting out that bogus description and sketch of the suspect, all while pretending they didn't know who the shooter was.

I have no doubt that the daughter & son have been interviewed by LE for many hours this past week, which I believe is why the story has changed from one day to the next. The daughter & son, IMO, have been back pedaling to try to make their half-baked versions work as they've been confronted with the illogic of their stories. Then, when the pressure was on, probably finally admitted to LE that they knew Eric. Can you imagine how frustrated LE must feel right now?

I agree with everyone here who says we haven't heard the whole story yet.

It occurred to me that maybe she does this to get interviews with the family and people involved. Anything for ratings, IMO. I can't think of any other reason. She goes on blast with guests and other people all the time, but somehow it seems if she thinks there is a chance she might get someone to come on the show or call in, she goes out of her way to not antagonize them. Just leaves me SMH.

I was thinking this earlier today...

Because the people who the husband first told the "they were moving the car so it wasn't in front of the house" story to was a CNN producer he was texting POST-call w/ NG (that ended, apparently, when the news broke about the activity at E's home).

But even watching it all back, it's still hard to tell if he texted the producer that version of the story story PRE-his on the corner at the media (and looking like he was about to punch the cop) or post-that.

Anderson Cooper seems to be the only one on CNN who is bringing up some of the contradictions still even post-arrest (w/ Mark Garagos on)

Wow, that video of Bob makes me feel very sad for him. This all makes a lot more sense--he did not want to disturb the investigation.

Yet more than one person said he was pounding on the door at Eric's multiple times earlier this week?

And so he purposely didn't tell LE he knew the kid until today?

If you are afraid of someone because you know he knows where you live... you do not have to move your car to keep him from... knowing where you live.

So now they're trying to say they just didn't tell the MSM any of that but told LE?

Despite LE saying they didn't know until today that they knew one another...

The family of Tammy held a press conference on Thursday afternoon. Robert Meyers, Tammy's husband, said they know the suspect and he knew where they lived.

"We knew how bad he was, but we didn't know it was this bad," Robert said. He went on to say Tammy spent countless hours consoling the suspect, feeding him and giving him money. He said he was advised to not give the media that information.

However, police revealed that until Thursday, they were unaware that Tammy knew the suspect.

Previously, officers told the media there was no indication the parties knew each other, based off statements from Tammy's son and daughter.

What's in the video? In video I watched, reporter says police claim they didn't know Tammy knew the suspect.

That is the biggest question I have. If the family knew at the time of the incident, why is LE finding out a week later? Why would they not be forthcoming with LE from the start unless there was something more important than TM's death to hide?

I'm curious how it comes across to you!

I found it hard to tell if they were updating with the new story version b/c they had just gotten it, or if they had it and just hadn't gotten to it b/c of everything else...

And where were they moving it? Didn't they come home in it?
