And, yet, BobM is still trying to say there was a first accident of road rage.

Maybe this is because he needs there to be a first road rage incident to "justify" TM going off to search for the car.

Without the first road rage incident, it's just the Meyers trolling the streets for trouble.

I guess those of you who were questioning why Brandon and his sister have not talked now understand why they haven't.

So KK and Z both called the cops on Saturday and told them it was Erich. Has to be how Bob found out about it--one of them must have told another friend and word got around.

So is it possible KK and Z both also know some of the Meyers kids?

Hum. I'll have to think of this relationship circle more.

ETA: the circle of friends is EN, KK, Z, Junior and possibly MM among others? So when KK and Z told LE, it got out among the friends that it was EN.

LMAO @ sharing a room with grandma. I think you might be onto something. That house strikes me as very small. I'll bet when he moved back into the house, he has been sleeping on the sofa and some of his stuff was kept in his grandmother's room. It could explain KM not listing him as living there if it appeared more as if he was couch surfing.

It's hard to grab the attention of gamers when they are "inside games." They have their headsets on and their minds are focused on the game. When my kids are playing a game, I can't get their attention unless I walk into the room they're in. I have to make a super big sound from downstairs to get their attention otherwise. For example, I've knocked (and a few times banged) on the bottom of the stairwell wall, and even that only worked 50% of the times I did it.

Turn the light switch off & on to get their attention when they're wearing their head sets.
Also, Radio Shack sells (or used to sell) programmable remote controls that work on your TV, your cable box,and your kids' Xbox.

Word definitely got around. EN could have told other friends too.

Seems like they can't get their stories straight.

Pssst!
You do not have to put your client on the stand to provide a jury with reasonable doubt that a homicide was done in self-defense. I'm sure most on here know of more than one case in which the defense argued a theory of self-defense, the defendant didn't testify and was found not guilty.

JMO

The only one I know of is GZ and there were recordings all over the place of what happened.

That requires walking upstairs and into the room. What ever happened to parents being able to call upstairs for their children? LOL

I used the breaker box in the basement a few times when they were younger. I once called Comcast at 11pm and asked them to disconnect the internet. A few minutes later I heard moans and then lights off to bed. I went through a phase of taking controllers and keyboards away at bedtime too. None of this is relevant anymore since mine are adults and most don't live here now. If the one that's here part of the year stays up playing xbox, that's not my problem anymore.

I will say I wish I had never bought those game systems for my children. If anyone reading has young kids, DON'T DO IT! lol

I'm sure word got around quickly even if they didn't share direct friends.

No, that doesn't have to be. If TM, KM & BM (or some combination thereof) set out that night to hunt down EN, it's highly likely that Bob knew from his first convo with the kids that the shooter was EN.

It would be easier to shoot a gun while leaning back than if you were crouching down.

*speculation* MOO :moo:

That's my take, too -- except it doesn't make sense. The DA wanted the jury to believe the BM & his mom were leaning back. But wouldn't the DA want BM & his mom to not be in a good position to shoot? Doesn't he want them to be as innocent as possible?

Why would the DA want the jury to believe that BM & TM were in a position that would allow them to shoot at the silver car?

Some of the grand jurors asked why the Ms didn't call LE. This was a preventable death. No one called 911 and the Ms went out hunting for the grey car. (Even though EN says the car is cream colored).

The prosecution will have to address this. Whether or not the jury buys the explanation remains to be seen.

Yes, that was my non-stated point. To me, leaning back still allows you to be offensive. Crouching down is defensive.

The DA went out of his way to present the M's as still having an element of control over their situation. MOO.

Oh, yes, I most definitely understand why they've not talked. I've understood for a long time why they've not talked.

They're going to have to get on the stand if this does go to trial. Then everyone will know why they've not talked.

Because the DA isn't very bright and didn't think this part through? That's all I've got.

This is the part I don't get. I would think that the DA would want to paint them as not having control over the situation.

.
I agree the jury will want a reasonable explanation for the M's not calling 911.

I think EN is lying about the car color. He has been strongly protecting the driver's identity. This is about the only thing I think he's lying about. I'm sure LE knows who the driver is since EN called him for a ride though. It would be interesting to know the make, model and color of the cars owned/driven by the people he called in that hour.
