You're not remembering incorrectly. LE and LVDA are disregarding that for some reason. EN having multiple cars show up that night could explain the inconsistencies in KM and BM's statements regarding car occupants.

I don't remember the part about 2 black men at all. Did that story come before or after the description of the spiky-haired dude? The defense team is going to have a field day with the inconsistent statements of BM and KM once they get them on the witness stand.

I'm glad to read he was appointed Attorney Hart, the lawyer he had consulted prior to his arrest.

I'm disappointed he talked to the media when the judge clearly told him talking wouldn't protect his rights.

'I need to protect your rights. It's best that you don't say anything without an attorney present,' District Court Judge Michael Villani said.

After the proceedings Andrews was assigned to Marty Hart, who told the station: 'Right now, he's a scared young man. He's nervous, he's worried about his family and he wants them to know that he loves them.'

Jones Boulevard is near Bonanza High School. But if you could hear him speak in the newscast, it sounds like he says Jonas, which is a street on the other side of Johnson Middle School.

That's when she almost had a collision with a man in a four-door gray or silver sedan, Las Vegas Metropolitan police said. The car followed Meyers home and then someone inside opened fire, hitting her in the head. Meyers' son, who was alerted to the incident by his sister, had also rushed outside and shot at the sedan before it peeled away.

In this version, KM contacted BM, I assume by cell-how else-before arriving at back at the house. Would love to see those cell phone records.

I just have to say---everything in this case makes me think of Cindy Anthony and all her made-up stories. And the changing stories. I just think that the Meyers and the Anthonys have so much in common. The only difference is that Cindy was stupid enough to do an interview with Megyn Kelly. I'll never forget that. Bob was smart enough to go on Nancy Grace. She's not allowed to ask tough questions anymore since the Duckett case.

The State is going to have their hands full with this one.
Question: We know what offenses the accused are currently charged with. Can the State change that before the trial begins? If they can't or decide not to, can the jurors change what they vote them guilty on, if anything?

Yes, they can change as EN's charges have been changed. The jurors will decide based on whatever current charges are then before them.

The latest from Claus:

Right now they're in hot water because they say the state hasn't released all the evidence in the case, including anything his alleged co-conspirator told police about that night.

"When you ask how he's going to influence the impact of this case it's really impossible to tell, and the state has made it impossible by withholding evidence with regard to Mr. Andrews," Defense Attorney Conrad Claus told Action News.

Claus also said the state hasn't provided all of Nowsch's interview with police. The defense team is working to figure out if Nowsch said anything prior to being read his rights. "It looks like there's a gap in our audio tape at the jail," he said.

I am curious if there is an actual Nixonian gap in the tape or if Claus is just making hay as to me I'd find it interesting one way or the other as a way of measuring the players in this. I take a strong dislike to withholding evidence from the defense, like how in the GZ trial the DA tried to hide exculpatory evidence from GZ and they would have got away with it if it wasn't for a whistleblower, but conversely I don't like saying something is being withheld that doesn't exist.

In case anyone else missed it.

After watching the interview, I think DA was the driver during the shooting.

We still haven't seen sufficient evidence to convict him of anything, but I think he was the driver.

I think it was SpanishInquisition who posted a while back about the possibility that the defense could exclude "lesser included charges." Spanish, do you still have that link? The gist of it was that there have been cases where the defense stance was basically, Either convict him on exactly what he's charged with, or acquit him. Nothing in between.

I think EN would have a very good chance of acquittal if the defense pulls off something like that. Either that, or the prosecution would have to reduce the charges out of the gate. I just can't see a conviction on M1. Not unless they've got some very compelling evidence that we're unaware of.

That tidbit was reported early on..... And it was completely dropped after it came out that TM & BM went out hunting after TM & KM got home safely.
