GUILTY NV - Tammy Meyers, 44, fatally shot at her Las Vegas home, 12 Feb 2015 - #8

I'm having my doubts about this knife incident. It says that LE investigated EN and he denied it and LE couldn't find a knife on him. However I do understand that EN could lie about it and may even have tossed the knife, but it just sounds a bit strange EN would do that, especially after the shooting incident.

I'm trying to understand why EN would do it as it doesn't sound like it was an attempted robbery, which I could understand him doing something like this to fund his fleeing to Arizona, but it doesn't sound like there was an attempt to get anything. With EN contemplating fleeing to Arizona during this time, I don't see why he'd go out doing this in broad daylight on a Sunday with a knife to a group of kids without it being for purposes of robbery when he's contemplating fleeing the state. There'd have to be some huge backstory for him to do this for non-monetary purposes in broad daylight on the main street.

No matter what the reason, you can't just go put a knife to someone's throat. However...I must admit the details do make me skeptical. Of course everything swirling around this case seems to be odd.
It does seem like everyone there takes these kinds of matters into their own hands, instead of calling LE. Is LE in that area that bad at taking care of things? Weird.

It took over a month to bring charges on something witnessed by 3 people despite LE being called that same day. That isn't exactly confidence inspiring that if you live there and your disabled child has a knife put to his throat in front of a crowd of witnesses that you have to wait over a month for charges. At that speed, it's no wonder the alleged road rager hasn't been found.

Well, they stopped looking for the alleged road rager back on Feb. 19. I'd wager he's never going to be found because he doesn't exist. So that's hardly a fair comparison.

The blind teenager couldn't pick EN out of a lineup and told an odd story of a completely unprovoked assault. Apparently the witnesses weren't able to be interviewed by LE until much later. So it's hardly fair to criticize LE for that either.

Frankly, from what I've seen, LE has an incredibly hard job in the neighborhood. Mostly, the residents just take matters into their own hands, and when they do report things to LE, they tell weird, hard-to-believe stories.

In light of the neighborhood customs and practices, it's a wonder anyone ever gets arrested there.

I'd want to know why this wasn't done immediately. It would be awfully strange that witnesses would be withheld from LE in the investigation of a violent felony, particularly since I believe at least one of the witnesses was the alleged victim's sister. Also indirectly it sounds like only half the people there were able to ID EN as it says two witnesses (even though there was three total witnesses plus the alleged victim) IDed EN, so at least one person with no vision problems didn't pick EN out of a line-up either. What it may be is that the boy and his sister didn't ID EN at the time of the event but then a month later the two non-family member witnesses IDed EN.

Well, you know, there might have been some confusion about who was there and who wasn't. Sort of like the confusion over whether BM or KM or both were in the car for the EN chase and shootout. It's understandable.

I wonder if the LVPD had heard about SOME kind of confrontation between EN and BM ( the legally blind kid ), perhaps from EN himself, but there wasn't anything to it really, so decided not to follow up, and due to the murder charges didn't think it was important anyway. Then the LVDA sees all the huge holes in their case, the real credibility issues with KM and BM, so tell LVPD to look harder into this alleged knife incident, and lo and behold, now there's witnesses to fill in the previous missing info. IOW, Maybe there are some in the neighborhood who decided to either contact or accomodate LVPD in this instance, because it related to EN? Kinda like killing two birds with one stone or something like that. I think the family of BM, the legally blind kid who wasn't wearing his glasses are friends with the Meyerses'. IMO.

All very stinky and hinky, just like everything else in this case, IMO!

ITA! It appears it took quite some time to kinda sort it all out!

I just noticed this where the thing with the daughter and two friends is alleged to have happened on 2/14 rather than 2/15 though it is possible the reporter got it wrong, BBM:
The man's wife, who also asked not to be named, said she spoke with detectives yesterday because the suspect had put a knife to her daughter and her two friends on Saturday.

I'm also wondering if the Seligs are one of the witnesses as nothing from the prior earlier anonymous story about the knife incident precludes the later sourced incident mentioned by Selig as being the same event:
'He wanted to kill my kids. He went after my kids, he went after my daughter with a knife, he went after my son trying to steal his bike, he went after me.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...nned-19-year-old-said-buying-Xanax-years.html
This really makes me want to know what was said to LE the day of the event when the alleged victim and presumably his sister failed to ID EN.

I was wondering if the Seligs' were mixed up in this alleged knife incident also. Why is there different versions of this story? This seems to be as "credible" as the discredited "road rage" story. I have real problems with the Meyeres', the Seligs' and the Marins' ( last name of legally blind boy ).

WTF was/is going on with these three families in this neighborhood? Is this all about drug disputes? Drug/Money turf? Something is definitely not right here.

I need refreshed here, wasn't EN being detained by LE before he was arrested? If so do we know what for?

Only thing is, I don't think it's confined to this neighborhood. They seem to float between southern California and Las Vegas.

A juvenile offense, it was reported. It was reported as if EN was the juvenile.

This article says 2/15:
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/charge-19-year-held-las-vegas-mom-slaying-30126093

That's where we originally got the 15th for the knife incident.

As far as I know, it's not been stated when police interviewed the witnesses other than the blind teenager. Just that it was some time later. Sorta like how it was reported that the silver car appeared in the cul de sac "some time later."

Hinky meter is in the red again.

Edited to add:
And this one also says the 15th:

On 2/15 he was held for some juvenile charge and during this time he was questioned on 2/17 and then released only to then be arrested on 2/19.

I wonder which of the various neighborhood characters are the road raging gang member & his wife whom TM had allegedly followed home to lecture about his road raging?

Every time I look at the photos from the vigil, I wonder which couple is the gangsta & his loving wife.

I know everything is saying the 2/15 now, which was my purpose in showing that it had first been reported as being on 2/14. I'd really want to know if the reporter who first reported it got it right, but I'd expect a reporter to catch the difference between Saturday and Sunday and not misreport something like that. If we have both changing days and changing participants this reminds me of the whole road rage again, especially with the delayed witnesses.
