NV - Tesla Cybertruck explosion at Trump hotel in Vegas investigated as a possible terrorist act, 1 Jan 2025

He said in his writings that he'd be traveling slow because he'd have to keep stopping to recharge the vehicle, then he added "(bad choice fleeing in a cybertruck)". I find that interesting, not because of what he said about the Cybertruck, but because he used the word "fleeing". So he felt like he was fleeing... from what? I guess all those people he thought were following him. But he had no reason in reality to be running from anything. As far as we know, he hadn't done anything wrong or suspicious before this trip. There was no reason for him to flee. But that was what he felt like he needed to do and what he felt like he was doing. That's really pretty sad, imo.

He was right to be concerned not just because ChatGPT is becoming synonymous with AI but because it is replacing Google – even bombers do research now on ChatGPT over Google. The point at which ChatGPT replaces Google search is well underway

He also used it to try to figure out where to buy fireworks, how much and how they compare to other explosive materials, Koren said. An "important component" of his inquiries involved the velocity of the bullet fired from the firearm and "determining whether that would ignite the explosives," Koren said

They said Tuesday it could have been the flash from the firearm that Livelsberger used to fatally shoot himself.

“I am now a shell of a human being with nothing to live for, it has all been taken away by my affiliations,” he wrote

In the second of the two writings released yesterday, he uses the term “we” repeatedly. Specifically, “we must” or “we are”
There is then a shift in the way he says Americans.

Why would a US Soldier refer to “Americans” like they are a third party?

“Americans” only pay attention to.

Is it possible that IMO the now dead suspect ML wanted to draw attention perhaps to the ‘unbridled’ use of AI or ChatGPT? And to do so at a prominent location and in a certain vehicle?

And if this was already and earlier said, please accept apologies. The thread is hard to keep up with and has moved quickly. MOO

I think he considered himself smarter and better informed than other Americans.

Which one are they saying they don't know the gender of? I saw on the news that the one at the Trump Hotel was a military vet and they were even able to pull footage from his phone. I also saw that the one in New Orleans was a college student..so, are they saying that the one in New Orleans is one as well, along with the shooter of the CEO? That's 3 terrorist attacks in less than one month!

Another question - thinking out loud

I wonder why ML would intentionally insert PII into his manifesto. (His Mustang)

Then reportedly ask how to purchase a phone without any PII? (11:40 link below)

The person who received the email from ML said that ML included the information about one of his first cars (his Mustang) as information that no one else would know about him, so that the recipient of the email would be able to verify and prove that it was ML who sent the email.

Yes - PII has intentionally been drawn to our attention. IMO

What could quickly appear to be the correct answer to a Personally Identifiable Question was included in his email. I don’t know if it is the correct answer. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t.

My mind wonders why the person talking to chat GPT would want to avoid being in a position of providing PII in person in an effort to get a phone? That was a key detail to slip into that press conference.

FYI - The question isn’t the result of a negative toward the podcaster. Putting the Podcaster as an individual to the side it appears there is a clear message to this case around PII and identity in general.

Hope that makes sense.

"I repeat that I am not getting captured alive and I will also use the Cybertruck as a massive VBIED with a blast radius of 100m+ if needed.. it will have significant shrapnel."

That tells me that this wasn't a simple dramatic suicide, but that he was perfectly happy, like most suicide bombers, to hurt any people in the immediate vicinity. He was considering shrapnel as a plus, not a downside, and had that in mind when he chose the Cybertruck as the vehicle he would use.

MOO

That is one takeaway from the fast, detailed data that Tesla collected on the driver of one of its Cybertrucks that exploded in Las Vegas earlier this week. Privacy data experts say the deep dive by Elon Musk’s company was impressive, but also shines a spotlight on a difficult question as vehicles become less like cars and more like computers on wheels.

“You might want law enforcement to have the data to crack down on criminals, but can anyone have access to it?” said Jodi Daniels, CEO of privacy consulting firm Red Clover Advisors. “Where is the line?”

Many of the latest cars not only know where you’ve been and where you are going, but also often have access to your contacts, your call logs, your texts and other sensitive information thanks to cell phone syncing.

In the six-page document, the soldier discusses the Cybertruck being used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device and describes “graphic encounters from his military experience that replay in his head over and over, and that now he feels like he’s a shell of a human being with nothing to live for,” authorities said.

Police said the six-page “manifesto” recovered from Livelsberger’s phone outlines a litany of political, social and cultural grievances and shows a “constant evolution” of his plans.

Investigators also noted Livelsberger mentioned “being super high on weed and drinking,” which they are still working to confirm

It also claims the mysterious drones are operated using gravitic propulsion systems, an advanced technology allegedly in use by both China and the United States. Livelsberger theorized these drones represent “the most dangerous threat to national security that has ever existed.”

He argued that the drones have “an unlimited payload capacity” and could potentially hover over critical locations like the White House. The “manifesto” compared the drones to the Chinese spy balloon shot down off the South Carolina coast in 2023 and suggested they were being launched from submarines stationed in the Atlantic

"There was not a time during my two years in Afghanistan where I had a clear understanding or rational feeling in my heart of why my brothers were fighting and dying. We failed and the credibility of military and political leadership was shredded when no one was held accountable," read an excerpt of the alleged manifesto shared by police on Tuesday

Law enforcement's challenges with AI were highlighted in an exclusive NBC News report that aired on “Hallie Jackson Now” late last year.

"AI takes existing problems and magnifies them. It makes them at scale and at cost," Rebecca Weiner, New York City's deputy police commissioner for intelligence and counterterrorism, has told NBC News. “The technology makes it easier to do the concerning stuff.”

The explosion was set off using racing fuel and birdshot, the ATF said Tuesday. The blast was not triggered by a detonator but by an unknown “flame,” which could include the gunshot Livelsberger used to kill himself.

Police suspect Livelsberger initially planned an attack at the Grand Canyon, potentially to launch off the glass skywalk there, but diverted to Las Vegas, police said based off more documents discovered on his phone. LVMPD Asst. Sheriff Dori Koren said police still do not know why he chose Trump Tower instead.

I recall engaging in a discussion around ML and a Mustang specifically.
(Discussion begins on Page 4 of this thread on January 1)

In going back to find the posts it appears a link was provided to the board on January 1 for a Mustang that was shipped stateside in July 2023 by an individual under the name of Matt Livelsberger. The Mustang that arrived in the US in 2023 is IMO an important piece of info to the case.

Based on media, LE has searched the address on Carvel Grove rd associated with the Mustang shipping docs (if legit). I’m bewildered by the fact that within the same 24 hours of releasing the PII comment a photo-spliced background goes on GMA and there is a car in said photo-splice with a cloth appearing to conceal its true identity.

Did we ever get confirmation where ML was born? OH or AZ
Did they find this Mustang that was shipped internationally in 2023?
If so, What were its contents?

This case is absolutely not what it appears on the surface. There is a dynamic game of chess going on somewhere. IMO

I agree entirely @iamshadow21 …. and IMO the location, vehicle, and apparent use of AI ChatGPT in materials preparation are an unusual intersection of parameters. I also am not convinced the deceased ML intended the vehicle to contain any detonation or explosive potential. Perhaps it was chosen for the opposite reason as you suggest. And the name of the vehicle may IMO have some relevance to his intent or any desired ‘statement’? MOO

I take your AI Perspective and add a cherry titled “Identity Theft”
This feels more about the ability to easily enter our country and commit terrorism. Identify the weakness's.

It’s not just about the Mexico boarders anymore. IMO
I don’t mean this as a political statement. I mean it as a data point.
The Mexico boarder was referenced in the writings.
