NV - Tesla Cybertruck explosion at Trump hotel in Vegas investigated as a possible terrorist act, 1 Jan 2025

If a Green Berret actually wanted the same goal, he’d chose a vehicle other than a cybertruck, and explosives far more powerful than fireworks and gas.

He’d also hit that hotel at a much busier time of day.
Point for MG, however I dont think it is a garden-variety suicide. Did he believe he might be protected in the cybertruck?

His tattoo looks like this but the orientation is off to me so IDK

In all seriousness, I do respect your point of view.
They may not have had a shared goal to “kill” in that moment, but I think they are both part of a domestic cell of sorts with a broader disruption goal.

I have really gone down rabbit holes in my mind about this explosion. Could this have been a sabotage and a set up? The photos posted a bit ago show Matt with a new born in Germany. Do we know if he is in a relationship with the mother?
I have so many questions, more than I do with the NO murderer and his motive. I think his is pretty clear at this point. LV has me spinning!

I think it was just part of the symbolism.

The study of symbolism is important because it plays a part in impelling the terrorist to act and then in defining the targets of their actions. And one of the most important symbolic acts is that of sacrifice, particularly the blood sacrifice whereby acts of violence link with religion and with man's collective being. The article examines how the importance of symbolism to ethnic nationalist terrorist arises from the particular cultural, social and religious milieu in which they live. This analysis suggests that the terrorist act itself is symbolic of the terrorist cause and should not be only understood in purely rational 'means-ends' terms.

I still lean towards suicide but with the intention of making a point about the Trump/Musk connection.

Mental health issues like for example PTSD are rife with people who have seen combat action/colleagues killed etc and my feeling is he had a mental health episode wanted to end his life but make a point at the same time.

If he wanted to cause a mass casualty event he could easily have done that

I haven't heard anybody suggest that Matt Livelsberger may have been the victim here. I've seen TV shows where the bomb was strapped to the victim and he was forced to commit terrorist acts or his family would be killed. He had a newborn baby. Most fathers would do anything to protect their children.

The vehicle was full of fireworks and gas containers.

They know who rented the vehicle, so if someone else was responsible i think they'd know

I don't know what this guy's goal was, but he clearly failed at his mission this time around. He's dead, no one was hurt (except for some minor injuries) <modnsip - opinion stated as fact>

Couldn't possibly agree more.

I'd just love to know how he was behaving before he took leave, and if she had shown any red flags. I can't imagine he didn't.

Three U.S. officials said Livelsberger was an active-duty Army member, who spent time at the base formerly known as Fort Bragg, a massive Army base in North Carolina that is home to Army special forces command. The officials also spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to disclose details of his service.

Jabbar, a U.S. Army veteran, also spent time at Fort Bragg but one official said so far there is no overlap in their assignments there.

The couple who committed the San Bernardino attack had a six month old daughter.

They did it anyway.
