Still Missing NV - Zaela Walker, 2, North Las Vegas, Aug 2018 *Arrest*

So I read through a lot of the FB's of family and friends, to try and get a read on this scary situation. This is what seems to have happened, from what others posted, as things unfolded.

Keia Shauntice apparently lived with her mother, and her 2 yr old baby. The baby's father may or may not have lived with them too.

In mid August, [ Aug 13th]Keia told her mother, Carla, that the baby went to California with the baby's father, to see his family. That went on for a couple of weeks.

Then one day [Aug 22nd] Keia told her Mom, I will be right back, and she walked out the front door. And went missing.

The mom reported her daughter and granddaughter missing to Las Vegas Police. She said they may be in the company of the baby's father. Grandma told police that she had not seen her daughter and granddaughter since Aug 22nd.

Months went by and grandma did not feel that Las Vegas police were being helpful. But there was talk that Grandma had heard from her daughter , by the way of phone calls. And her daughter may have said she didn't want to return to her mother's home and had purposely run out of state to Texas.

And some were saying that was why the Las Vegas police were not being so helpful to the grandmother , because they may have been told that the couple was voluntarily out of the area.

HOWEVER, Grandma pushed to verify that her 3 yr old grand baby was OK. And Texas police did go and talk to the parents , and they were told that the parents supposedly had no idea where their little girl was. ????????????

THAT ^^^^^ is the confusing part. Are we allowed to shrug our shoulders and tell LE that we misplaced our baby? I don't understand why the parents are not being held on some charges if that is true.

Ricky Beasley and Keia Shauntice were detained by the Harris County sheriff's office. They did not have Zaela and there was no sign of Zaela. They where both interviewed by Texas Authorities separately at which time they both admitted they did not know the location of Zaela Walker and have not seen her in 3 months. AT THIS POINT WHERE IS MY LITTLE SWEET PEA???? Is my only concern. PLEASE help me make this go VIRAL. So.she can finally be brought home. The.last time I saw her was August 13th.She is out there somewhere. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me.

So, just to clarify, on Aug 13th, Ricky Beasly, the child's father, supposedly took his daughter to California to visit with his father.

That is the last time that the grandmother reported having seen the baby. And 2 weeks later, the child's mother ran off with the father to Texas. Without initially telling the grandmother they are going anywhere. Which left Grandma hanging and very worried, for months.

But when the police eventually caught up with the parents in Harris, Texas, there was no sign of the little girl. Which I interpret to mean that there was no child's bedroom, child's toys or clothing etc, in their apt.

And the parents said they hadn't seen the baby in 3 months and have no idea where she went.

SO DID THE FATHER LEAVE HER WITH SOMEONE IN CALIFORNIA? Or was that story bogus?

OR, an even worse scenario, did something bad happen to the baby, and so they concocted the story about her going to Cali with her father to visit family? And then they ran off to Texas to pretend nothing happened?

Reminds me of sweet Caylee, and Casey's stories to her parents about where that baby was. After 13 years at WS,and all these babies my hinky meter is driving me nuts on this one.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) - Police arrested Ricky Beasley, the father of a missing 3-year-old girl, for kidnapping on Monday, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.

According to NLVPD, officers received a tip from the public that Beasley and Lakeia Walker was seen at a local casino, located near Civic Center Drive and Cheyenne Avenue. When officers arrived, they detained Beasley and Walker.


Beasley was interviewed and booked into the Las Vegas City Jail on traffic-related charges and taking a vehicle without an owner's consent, police said. Walker was released and is cooperating with investigators.

Beasley was also charged with first degree child abuse neglect.

Zalea just turned three last month, but her grandmother doesn't know where, or if, the girl celebrated.

Carla could go on about her granddaughter who knows all her colors, can count to 20 and loves to read books.

"I miss that kid so much."

Carla hasn't seen Zalea since the beginning of August. She says she came home from work and was told Zalea was with her dad, Ricky.

"The first time I called the police I told them my daughter was missing. They told me she was 27 and it was her daughter and it was her right, she didn't have to come home."


Later that week Carla used find my I-phone which led her to her daughters car in Craig Ranch.

"It looked as though, she got out of the car and was coming back to the car."

Police told Carla it didn't look like there was any foul play. Later that night, Carla called police again because she found some worrisome text messages on her daughters phone. She says that's what finally sparked a detective to take the case but he apparently still didn't think Zalea was in any danger.

"He actually felt as though they had just left with their child and you know going on to live their life," Carla said.

Carla believes Zalea is alive, she just doesn't know where.

Police say in a case like this, someone knows something. Now Carla is hoping that someone says something.

When I saw the part of them at "Craig Ranch" That kinda shocked me. In North Las Vegas there is only Craig Ranch park, that is very close to my home and even visited today, or Craig Ranch Villas, Some apartments also very close to me that I used to live in when I first moved here.

Craig ranch park is BIG. I'll go tomorrow and look around though. There are areas that are out of view. There are trees and Shrubbery that is in the North most part of the park that no one goes by and the park maintenance and potrolls leave alone. I'll go check it out back there!
