In the course of the arrest, a handwritten journal was recovered , written in the journal, among other things, was the following:

"You (USA Government) continue your [unintelligible] slaught[er] against the mujahidean be it Afghanistan, Iraq, Sham [Syria], Palestine . " (4)

An expression of concern at the prospect of being caught before being able to carry out a suicide attack: "the F.B.I. & homeland security [unintelligible] looking for me [unintelligible] my heart I pray to the beautiful wise ALLAH. To not take JIHAD away from. I beg [unintelligible] for shahadat [martyrdom] & Inshallah [God willing] this call will be A[n]swered."

A reference, on a page that is largely unintelligible, to "pipe bombs" and a "pressure cooker bomb," and the partial sentence: "in the streets they plan to run a mile."

A reference to the instructions of terrorist leaders that, if travel is infeasible, to attack nonbelievers where they live: " . back to sham [Syria]. But [unintelligible] this incident show the risk are [unintelligible] of getting caught under [unintelligible] I looked for guidance and . . Guidance came Sheikh Anwar (5) Said it clearly attack the Kuffar [non-believers] in their backyard."

Laudatory references to: Anwar al-Awlaki; Nidal Hasan, who shot and killed 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas; and "Brother Osama Bin Laden."

The handwritten document closes as follows: "Inshallah [God willing] the sounds of the bombs will be heard in the streets. Gun shots to your police. Death To Your OPPRESSION."

I have been an Ebay seller for twenty years! They are SO rigid with selling practices and what they allow. They are constantly up my butt scrutinizing every item I list. I have been on temporary limited seller status in the past for selling cosmetics that "may not be authentic" (they were authentic!). Yet, this shlub purchased everything he needed to build BOMBS on Ebay!! Mind Boggling.

My daughter's surgeon is out of NYU Langone, we take trips into the City at least six times a year just for that, and always have to stop at the Forever 21 store in Times Square.

She's due back next Tuesday but will be taking the train herself this time, she'll be shopping this time in Herald Square. :scared:

Asia Bibi Rahami (his wife) is cooperating with investigators. Authorities haven't revealed any details about what she's said.

She left the United States before Saturday's bombings in New York and New Jersey. She'd been scheduled to fly back to the United States this week. She's currently in the United Arab Emirates, where she's spoken with US officials

Rahami and his wife married in July 2011 in Pakistan while Rahami was spending several weeks in the region. That same year, Rahami filed a petition to bring his wife to the United States. The paperwork was approved in 2012. Rahami ran into problems with his wife's immigration paperwork in 2014 and contacted a US congressman for help. Once the passport was renewed, Rahami's wife learned she was pregnant, and US officials told her they wouldn't issue a visa until the baby was born. Then, officials said they'd have to get an immigrant visa for the baby, too. At the time, the consulate advised Rahami to travel to Karachi, Pakistan, but Rahami said it was too dangerous.
