I just came across this article, but glad you were able to find and post it much earlier than I. There is definitely little optimism in my heart tonight :(

sounds like she got turned around, possibly thinking the track area was actually a road and tried to turn around. The battery was dead but she (someone) did put the flashers on so that would have kicked the battery. She was moving to that area so she didn't know it. Got separated from her son during the drive. So sad, I can't stop thinking about her. IMO
My comments aren't posting tonight, but will try anyway. Her car was found not terribly far from where she did live. It wasn't found in the area of Lee, MA, where apparently she was moving to. How she ended up there is a puzzling unknown.

If she was supposed to be following her son to new home on Saturday night, why did he wait until Monday to report? Seems he would have gone back Saturday night and searched until contacting LE. Moo

@Tripod @Dre , thank you both for clearing up the location and reminding me of the timeline reporting her missing. I hope they can find video of who was driving the car and also who last saw her before Saturday. IMO

JMO, but I feel foul play involved, and fear additional cameras will reveal she wasn't even driving. Things don't add up. I hope I'm wrong.

This was my thought as well, that maybe she thought the train track was a road. MOO

Son speaks out about his missing 77-year old mother

[...]

[CT] made his way back to Albany where he then filed a report with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.

Around the same time, the Sheriff’s Office was alerted by Amtrak of a Black Ford Focus stuck on the train tracks behind the West Albany Pocket Park by I-90 near the Everett Rd. exit.

Officers said they found the car door ajar, Beverly’s cell phone inside, the keys in the ignition in the off position and the hazards on, but she was no where to be found.

So I am going to be appropriate (trying ) when do you think it's alarming that your elderly parents , that was following you on her car is missing? Wasn't there some other person that could have driven her car ? Exactly when did he notice that she was no longer following and did he turn around to look and assist ?? I try to be gracious, charitable and kind. But does this set off alarms for anyone else? You'd think it's a red flag for SO but That's another can of worms. Ms Bev I will keep you in my prayers, I asked the Lord to send you an angel. Please pray for this Lady MOO

Since LE says the son isn't a POI, and since reading that the car was hung up on the tracks, then a storm and woods and water nearby, and of course it was dark out, I'm scared she could have (1) been robbery victim, or (2) been victim of the weather and frailty.

Her car was found quite near I-90, which makes more sense to me now, if they were heading to Lee, MA. I personally believe she was driving her car and somehow, got herself mixed-up.

After finally being able to view the video of her son and read that article with it ( I couldn't access it for some reason, before), it appears that the son did report her missing that same night, Saturday, after he got to Lee and waited a while for his mom. And he did then go back to Albany and report her missing there. I feel only sympathy for him at this time. He said his mom was his best friend, and I believe him. MOO.

I think it's your scenario #2 now. Last night, I wasn't sure what to think. I'd hoped she would have been found today, but it might be a bit longer. We might be getting some snow melt and rain over the weekend.

[CT] describes his mother as a bright light who loves her Irish heritage. He said she is a very helpful woman committed to many charity organizations, though he said they were currently having a difficult time finding a place to live that they could afford.

[CT] was the last person to see Beverly, but Sheriff Apple said he was ruled out as a suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with video or information to come forward.

It is sad. And I agree, he deserves sympathy rather than automatic suspicion. I'm betting he is feeling some guilt as well as all the sorrow of missing his mom.

Still I find it strange that her car was abandoned on train tracks and there is no sign of her anywhere. Even if (probably what did happen) she confused the tracks with the road and tried to move the car off when she realized where she was. I can see her abandoning the car so as not to be hit by a train and also leaving her flashers on to warn any approaching train. But how far would she have had to go for help? Did she have a phone with her so she could have also called for help? Possible she thought she was in trouble for being on train tracks and ran off...(probably pushing things with that thought).

So many questions and I'd think she'd be easily found if this is what happened. How far could she get, really?...JMO

I think I read in MSM earlier that she left the phone in the car? Trying to locate where I read that.

[CT] says he has tried to stay positive during all this, but all he's been thinking about is where his mother could be.

He says he's so grateful for everyone that's helping search for her.

"I love you mom. I Love you so much. Thank you for guys who everyone that's out there who has been searching for my mom. I know about you. I just want to say I know you're out there looking and I love you thank and keep it up and I encourage that. Keep looking for my mom."

Son of missing Colonie woman thankful for those helping search (video)

Another heartbreaking interview with her son; I really feel for him :(
