Cadaver dog, drone join search for missing Colonie woman

[...]

Her car was found abandoned, its battery dead, at West Albany Pocket Park.

The car was on the train tracks, door left open, and four-ways on.
This confused me in the beginning. You wouldn't know someone's 4ways were on if the battery was dead unless the button was physically checked and in some vehicles it isn't obvious whether the button had been activated or not (they used to stick out obviously from the steering column or dash but I've had some newer cars that *don't* do that).

"Mrs. Trombley's abandoned car was found a few days later on the railroad tracks near the West Albany Pocket Park.

'The car was running, it was operable, so she could have stayed there and kept warm. She did the right thing. She put her four ways on, on the vehicle. The issue lies in that she left and went towards the dark area of the tracks,' said Rice."
