This case has gotten a lot weirder since I last checked and there is much to unpack...
So... As far as I can gather, Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra:
  • is currently married (and separated) and has started proceedings for a divorce.
  • is living with her new boyfriend and is expected to marry him
  • had told her new boyfriend (who was away for work) that she was having a "business meeting" (in the middle of the night)...
  • but was actually out on a "party boat"
  • had told her new boyfriend that she was about to get an Uber home...
  • but had actually moved from the first party boat to the second party boat with its 60 year owner (who happened to be naked... and referring to Martha as his "girlfriend").
  • owner of both "party boats" (aside from being naked), seems to be unable or unwilling to call emergency services, nor perform CPR when Martha falls unconscious...
  • instead, he runs around screaming (did I mention that he's still naked?) and throwing sun lotion bottles at other yachts to gain attention.
  • someone else finally calls 911 and commences CPR but is unable to revive Martha.
Did I miss anything?

This happened on Montauk which is the northern most part of the island and very elite owners and high profile tourists. I believe minimal information will be coming out due to affluent influencers and protection of the tourist industry on Montauk.

Easternmost (Orient Point is farther north) but I agree with the rest. The boat owner's name has still not been made public.

There were so many happy occasions to celebrate, cheers... imo.
'Highly active on social media, she frequently showcased her collections to a growing audience. She had a pop-up store in Montauk showcasing her wares this summer.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she held various other positions listed as active. Nolan-O’Slatarra founded Duper, worked as director of operations for K4 Capital Management, and served as CEO of Brand Growth Consultants, per East Side Feed.'

''Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra, 33, was in the middle of uncontested divorce proceedings from her husband, Sam Ryan, as recently as April, according to New York County Supreme Court filings obtained by the New York Post.

She had since apparently moved onto a new relationship and was reportedly planning to marry her new boyfriend, who was not onboard the 54-foot SeaRay named Ripple at the Montauk Yacht Club last Tuesday, according to the Irish Independent.''

'Yet it remains unclear who she was meeting onboard the Ripple, where she was found unconscious in the early morning hours of August 5.'

'One boater at the scene has since described the ship as a 'party boat' and told Daily Mail she heard screams when the woman's body was found. Others said a naked man was seen running for help.'

I'm confused as to why no one is reporting the name of the boat owner, since the boat is a possible crime scene.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>
I meant as part of an investigation into a death that occurred on his property when he was present.

I think the excuse is that the boat is not technically a crime scene at this point. If tox comes back with regular street drugs, I think it will remain "accident." If tox comes back with tainted drugs, then there might be a crime declared. If date rape is found, I would hope it to be deemed a crime. If tox comes back with no drugs in her system, I don't know what will happen next. imo

The owner's name is available, but nobody is going on the record with it. FWIW, I think the short answer for that is, "Long Island."

From August 6-13, 2021, six people died on the North Fork and Shelter Island from coke laced with fentanyl. By August 19, arrests had been made of the drug sellers, who were found through text messages on the phones of the deceased. Can toxicology results come in that quickly? Anyway, I hope similar work is being done on cellphones of both Martha and the boat owner (although MOO it's possible both phones went overboard).

Just a guess, but I'm wondering if some of the drug itself was available at the scene for testing and didn't require autopsy testing.

eta: for clarity, this refers to another case on LI, not Martha.
