The more information that continues to come out on this story the more I believe it was a miracle that these sweet girls made it out and rescued themselves! If multiple people and victims are involved you wouldn't think any of the suspects would allow an escape to be so easy. I'm still a little unclear if they escaped or if they were just dropped off. Either way it's a miracle!!! :heartluv:

I only heard one report that the children were dropped off. Everything else I read or heard indicated that the girls were left alone at a separate residence (whose I wonder) and were told to stay put. I'm guessing they were threatened. All MOO.

I thought it was odd the couple that rescued the girls and fed them, returned them to their community instead of calling the cops. Maybe that's just the way they roll around there, I don't like the cops being around either.

I'd have fed them some steak and potatoes though, given 'em a welcome home meal to remember.

Watermelon has lots of "water" in it .... so, good for two things at once. Water & Food.

Its so upsetting to here this might be a group of people out there wanting to harm children. Thankful that they are now safe but fear other children are being harmed as I type this.

Have any of you super Sleuthers pulled up any "priors" on these perps?

TIA....:seeya:

I totally get what you're saying, but this couple don't just "look" normal in their photos -- if you read their postings and comments -- they just seem so very ordinary, and they seem to have a circle of ordinary friends and family, and ordinary interests. Aside from Nicole's grant project in college -- there's just nothing that really sticks out about them.

I'm wondering -- Stephen appears to have children about the same age as the girls that were kidnapped, and they appear to be important to him. If he's a single father, and only gets to see those kids occasionally, was it possible that he kidnapped the little girls as sort of replacement children?

That's what I meant about the word "normal".

Ted Bundy was "normal" too. He was educated, good looking (to some), well liked and respected and extremely personable. Until he wasn't.

Most monsters look fine on the outside. Until they don't.

Mr. Wells [Sheriff] declined to comment on whether drugs played a role in the kidnapping. Mr. Howells is a registered nurse with Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg. Ms. Vaisey works at the Bows and Bandanas Pet Salon and Resort, Potsdam. They couple have been together for over a year and half, Mr. Wells said.

“We are cooperating with the ongoing investigation and will be conducting our own investigation,” said Laura C. Shea, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center spokeswoman. “This is certainly no reflection on our commitment to protect our patients and staff.”

Mrs. Shea said Mr. Howells has been employed at Claxton-Hepburn since 2006, working in the emergency department. He has been a nurse in the Thomas T. Patterson Wound Healing Center since May. Mr. Howells has been suspended without pay pending the investigation, she said.

Yes!

Also, they could have not had much more. If you walk into my kitchen right now, you'd find some fruit and raw veggies. I would have nothing more. AND...they could have said, "what would you like?" It's a very kid thing, to ask for juice and watermelon.

Those two don't look 'normal' to me at all. They look creepy and give me a bad vibe. I feel like this was a sexually motivated crime. The girls were very lucky to get away IMO

Still catching up from last night, but I totally agree. I would love to explain more on how I arrived at this opinion, but I like it here. :blushing:

Thank you for this link :tyou: In this video they report that the girls were dropped off by the suspects on the Stinson's street. Although I know I have read in other reports they escaped. Sorry I've been trying to follow along as much as possible and thank you all for your valuable input! I'm sure that by early next week a lot of new information will come out and once again we will all be sitting here :notgood: :dunno: :gaah:

Someone here on WS has a "signature" that says "normal is a setting on the dryer" which could not be more appropriate in so many of these threads. IMO

Please do! I would help, but I don't even know how to do that. I'm sure LE are doing that already, too. (I hope!)

thank god these two animals are off the street.

Just unbelievable to me there are people out there like this. I just don't get it. So disgusted and sad to hear about these people, but of course glad they are off the street and these girls are back home. Poor girls, this is so disturbing and heartbreaking. Innocence lost by these monsters!! :( I hope these girls will be okay. :( This is really upsetting. Sick people!!!!

eta: These "people" need their faces beat in to a pulp.

Everything is jmo

From trigger's link---"pursuing other possible suspects"?!!!!

They did say on the CBS Morning show this morning that they were sexually assaulted :(.

Could the couple have had sex in front of the girls? Would that constitute as abuse?

  • #879
Strange indeed! Maybe they wanted daughters??

I believe I found his Ex wife's FB and there is a little girl pictured (looks about 10/11) who is the same girl he has on his FB on a birthday outing. May be his step daughter?

probably coincidental...

but isn't the pet grooming place NV worked at in Potsdam?

:waitasec:

It's outside of Potsdam with a Potsdam address.
