Prosecutor Adam excluded as DNA contributor on vial. If he carried it around & put it under his seat, where's his DNA?

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Final DNA on bottle of colchicine-1.20 quadrillion times more likely to have originated from Conley

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: remember type of research done. She wasn't looking up practical jokes . She was looking up ways to chemically kill someone.

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: if your intent is to make someone sick, why the frame? Only necessary if your purpose is to leave a body

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: when you think of intent, think of what she did to cover her tracks. Framing Adam.

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza: if you're adam, why are those files deleted from her actual device? If adam were posioner? What would he have to gain from this

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: motive now

Coluzza - what you’ve heard over the last three weeks, is that an incomplete investigation?

Coluzza - leading police to Adam’s Jeep was another miscalculation - receipt led police to gmail, which led to a lot of electronic evidence.

Coluzza - Dec 16 - 1st interview with Conley - she denies knowing anything about colchicine

Coluzza - Dec 21 - 2nd interview w/ Conley - she admits to writing anonymous letter - but won’t admit to accessing gmail account

Coluzza - “That account (MrAdamYoder1990) hangs like a millstone around the defendant”

Coluzza - Feb 5 - final police interview with Conley - still denying writing the draft of the anonymous letter

Coluzza - Feb 8 - scientists find Conley’s DNA on cardboard wrapper around colchicine bottle

Coluzza - Conley’s DNA profile matched profile found on the colchicine bottle

vv Love this one!

Judge yells at Policelli - telling him to stop the smiling, facial expressions, etc. Policelli says he can’t help it.

Coluzza talking about motive. You sometimes don't get the answer why

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: sometimes you don't get answers as to why. That's 1 of the reasons it's not required to be proven in murder

Coluzza: revenge means hurting someone. And there are many ways to hurt someone

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Hurting someone by hurting who and what they love. Making them live with the guilt

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza: motive isn't that obscure here. Revenge is a dish best served cold

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: but I would submit to you that motive not too obscure. Revenge is a dish best served cold. Old as human history

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: this particular dish is served right out of the ice box

Coluzza - The defendant was looking up ways to toxically kill someone - not just make someone sick for a weekend - consider intent

Coluzza - you’d only frame someone if you know the police will get involved - why the frame?

Coluzza - talking about motive - some times you don’t ever know why - but motive here is not that obscure.

Coluzza - “revenge is a dish best serve cold” - Conley’s motive

Coluzza - motive - hurting someone by hurting the people they love.

Coluzza - “And this dish is served right out of the ice box.”

so far so good! :online:

Prosecutor is very thorough, IMO.

Nothing that the defense stating in his closing convinced me that Conley didn't do it.

Coluzza - asks jury to consider 10 questions - who created gmail account, who’s cell phone accessed account & did Poison research

Coluzza - who signed for package of colchicine, who was with victim during window of time she was poisoned

Coluzza - who wrote the anonymous letter, who bought prepaid cards used to purchase colchicine

Coluzza - “the woman sitting in that chair.”

Coluzza - consider the evidence cumulatively - not just one piece at a time

Coluzza - Conley says during her police interview that she is smart, but she miscalculated throughout this crime.

Great closing for the State from what I'm reading!

Praying she never gets the chance to fulfill her dream of becoming a wife and Mother!

Coluzza going over answers to 10 questions asked by Laurie Lisi in opening statements

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza's answer to all; "the woman sitting in that chair."

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza: the defendant is smart. She is calculated. But she miscalculated in this crime

Ditto- Guilty!!!

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: evidence isn't considered in a vacuum. Consider totality of evidence.

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: murder is the only conclusion.

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: defendant in interview talks about how smart she is. Thought she was 1 step ahead of everyone else

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: remember her saying she'd have gotten rid of her phone. Lot of confidence in her deletion abilities. She's not a forensic expert

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza: the defendant is smart. She is calculated. But she miscalculated in this crime

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza puts down all the documents Conley deleted before handing her phone to investigators

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor: all defendant does is talk about herself. Showing despair at being discovered. No tears, sympathy for Mary

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza: Conley only talked about herself in the February interview. her plans will now change.

  • #1,294
Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecution: this is a crime of true darkness. Darkness can sometinesc feel in the most unlikely places. In heart & mind of woman in chair

Joleen Ferris‏ @joleenferris
Prosecutor plays Conley words printed on monitor . I want to finish college & have children. I have so much going for me. My life is over

Julia LeBlanc WUTR‏ @jleblanc_WUTR
Coluzza saying let's give the defendant the last words- plays a slide with everything she said in the interviews with investigators

ara Thomas‏ @CaraThomasNews 2m2 minutes ago

Coluzza - Conley said during interview that if she knew her phone was so connected, she would have gotten rid of it

Coluzza - Conley has a lot of confidence in her deletion skills, but she’s not a forensic expert

Coluzza going through things Conley deleted off her phone - she thought she had her bases covered - thought Adam would delete the backup

Coluzza - we submit that Conley is showing despair during interview b/c she was discovered

Coluzza - Her thoughts of despair were only about her life that will change.

Coluzza - I will let the defendant have the last words - playing quotes from Conley’s interview with police on the screens

"This is my whole life. I have people who love me. I want to be a mom so bad. #ConleyRetrial

edited to add last tweet:
