Final note: U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan sent back an instruction: "All admitted exhibits are before you," along with a reminder that the testimony about the FBI notes are before them. Perhaps we'll see if that dispels any confusion.

The ups and downs of waiting for a verdict. While we are waiting comfortably in our homes or at work, GM is waiting in her courthouse holding cell.

Jury questions can sometimes give us insight, but sometimes confuse us also.

Another jury note:

"We would like to end today at 5 p.m.

" They want to work tomorrow at 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and have lunch at "12 noon, if possible."

Judge Nathan raises the possibility of Thursday deliberations.

Sounds to me like a smart jury that paid close attention.
Can't ask for more than that.
MOO.

Jury has another note / question: Can we consider Annie's testimony conspiracy to commit a crime in Counts 1 and 3? AUSA: Say yes.

@KlasfeldReports

New jury note: “Can we consider Annie [Farmer]’s testimony as conspiracy to commit a crime in counts one and three?” AUSA Comey: A one-word answer would be correct here. The government’s proposal is “Yes.” Judge Nathan appears to agree.

Ghislaine Maxwell deliberations update: The jury just asked to leave at 5 p.m. today, return tomorrow at 9, have lunch at noon, then leave at 4:30 p.m.

The judge said she'll allow them to deliberate on Dec. 23 if they wish. (That date was initially blocked off for the holidays.)

Does this sound good for the State?

Yes. She is not hiding her identity and her testimony is believable.
Good. That is what I was thinking. At this point, I am wondering if one or two jurors are needing to be convinced.

A jury is deliberating complicated child-sex-trafficking charges against Ghislaine Maxwell. Here's what they need to agree on to convict or acquit the Jeffrey Epstein associate.

Jurors could reach a split verdict

Each of the six charges must be considered separately, so it's possible that jurors will unanimously agree with some of the allegations but not others. Altogether, the charges could result in a prison sentence of up to 80 years for Maxwell, who turns 60 on Christmas day.

Pretty powerful:

“She was a grown woman who preyed on vulnerable kids,” prosecutor Alison Moe told jurors.

“She targeted a girl whose father had just died. She targeted a girl whose mother was an alcoholic. She targeted a girl with a single mom who was struggling to raise her daughters.

“Maxwell was a sophisticated predator who knew exactly what she was doing. She ran the same playbook again and again and again.”

I thought all of the victims were believable and it was incredibly striking, how similar all the manipulation was. Madame Maxwell had found a system that worked and she utilized it repeatedly.

I applaud victims for their courage. And getting money in a settlement is like offering someone a Band-Aid for a head wound. There are always going to be people who give these women a side-eye, like they were somehow complicit in their own abuse. Years of therapy and a lot of trauma that will affect every relationship they have.

I also think it's difficult for some people to imagine that this kind of stuff goes on with these jet-set, incredibly well-connected, wealthy people. Like people who are supposed to be so fabulous couldn't possibly be predators.

I thought Maureen Comey was a very effective prosecutor. I thought the defense was grasping and desperate. I do not imagine she was a pleasant client to work with, even without such a sordid case.

MOO and sorry for rambling; I hate waiting for verdicts.

The challenge presented to Ghislaine Maxwell jury: 4 accusers and a wide array of charges

Count One: Conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.

Count Two: Enticement of a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.

Count Three: Conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Count Four: Transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Count Five: Sex trafficking conspiracy.

Count Six: Sex Trafficking of a minor (under the age of 18).

Is Madame Maxwell is found guilty, where would she serve her sentence?

Sadly, I don't think there is a Supermax for female prisoners.

I can think of a few who belong there, though.

imo

Don't we all.
I do agree with everything you have said.
How could anyone with a shred of common sense doubt these girls?
Yes, Epstein is dead, but she enabled all of his twisted requests.
Recruited, primed, enticed all of them.
She was not an innocent bystander.
She needs to be found accountable and be punished for her crimes.
Not HIS crimes. HER crimes.
IMO, she and her attorneys care not for the little people.
The little people, you and me , mean nothing.
Just trash.
Uh huh.
MOO.

They were in it together:

"What you say is as important as what you do," the manual reads. "Your language must include good diction and exclude swear words and slang. Pay attention to how you speak to Mr Epstein, Ms Maxwell and their guests."

Other directions in the manual include what to say when entering a room, how to respond to a compliment or criticism, and how to answer the telephone. Workers were not allowed to eat or drink in front of Epstein and Maxwell and were reminded to "Smile at all times, and avoid direct eye contact."

See the bizarre list of banned words and phrases in Jeffrey Epstein's 'household manual'

And, furthermore, I think she is even more depraved than JE.
What king of woman betrays her fellow women ? Young women and little girls?
Exposes them to the most demeaning tasks that women can provide for men?
Not love, not meaningful equal relationships. Just tools to pleasure a man or woman as they wish. No feelings attached.
MOO.
