They were in it together:

"What you say is as important as what you do," the manual reads. "Your language must include good diction and exclude swear words and slang. Pay attention to how you speak to Mr Epstein, Ms Maxwell and their guests."

Other directions in the manual include what to say when entering a room, how to respond to a compliment or criticism, and how to answer the telephone. were not allowed to eat or drink in front of Epstein and Maxwell and were reminded to "Smile at all times, and avoid direct eye contact."

And may she have all these wishes afforded to her when she is behind bars because she is SO worth it.

I know this is awful to say…but part of me hopes she is “frozen in fear” waiting for this verdict. Those are the words that each of those those young victims expressed.

If GM is acquitted, I dread the message it will send to all aspects of society and our legal system. I'm also concerned the message an acquittal would send to the depraved rich and powerful responsible for this abuse.

HA!

She can create a "family" and make "family " rules.

But she will need alot of canteen items (to distribute) to do it.

She won't be aquitted. The odds are not in her favor. Guilty on most, if not all, charges.

Nah. Whatever happens with the trial will be token, for show. She has too many powerful friends who will insure a Heidi Fleiss outcome.

What friends? It ruins their reputations to be associated with her let alone support her.

Ghislaine Maxwell's friends and family ask to remain anonymous if they testify in her defence | Daily Mail Online

Christian Everdell, a lawyer representing Maxwell, asked the court to allow some defence witnesses to withhold their real names, as they had requested, saying:

'People who testify might get a lot of unwanted attention, especially if they are testifying on behalf of Ms Maxwell'.

During several bail hearings, Maxwell's friends and relatives wrote anonymously to the court pleading for her to be granted bail and vouching for her good character.

DOES GHISLAINE MAXWELL HAVE ANY NOTABLE SUPPORTERS?

Her family — the scions of the late publishing magnate, Robert Maxwell — is sticking by her. Two of her siblings, Kevin and Isabel, have attended each day of proceedings. The Maxwells strongly assert the U.S. justice system is making a patsy of their youngest sister. Ghislaine is notably the baby of the family and said to have been the favorite of her father, who died falling off a yacht named for her.

IMO this whole trial was a farce. It felt like the prosecution didn't even try to prosecute her. I've followed this for a loooooooong time. There was so much missing here. JMO

I thought all of the victims were believable and it was incredibly striking, how similar all the manipulation was. Madame Maxwell had found a system that worked and she utilized it repeatedly.

I applaud victims for their courage. And getting money in a settlement is like offering someone a Band-Aid for a head wound. There are always going to be people who give these women a side-eye, like they were somehow complicit in their own abuse. Years of therapy and a lot of trauma that will affect every relationship they have.

I also think it's difficult for some people to imagine that this kind of stuff goes on with these jet-set, incredibly well-connected, wealthy people. Like people who are supposed to be so fabulous couldn't possibly be predators.

I thought Maureen Comey was a very effective prosecutor. I thought the defense was grasping and desperate. I do not imagine she was a pleasant client to work with, even without such a sordid case.

MOO and sorry for rambling; I hate waiting for verdicts.
I agree with everything you posted.

Except, the BBM-- she must have been somewhat pleasant for the attorney to keep hugging her and giving her back rubs. YIKES and Ewwwww.
Or it was just for show, but no way would I have touched her.
LOL

catching up in here tonight. Very busy at work and trying to follow along -- a SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU to all posting the tweets and news updates...much appreciated here.

Fingers crossed she is found Guilty and I will try to be watching for updates from here and the Jury news.

Another jury note:

"We would like to end today at 5 p.m.

" They want to work tomorrow at 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and have lunch at "12 noon, if possible."

Judge Nathan raises the possibility of Thursday deliberations.
Sounds to me like they think they can wrap it up (get it?) by Xmas.

Sounds more like Buckingham Palace than a sordid brothel - didn't they think they were wonderful?

Not even Buckingham Palace is like that.

She was part of the fabric of Epstein's life. Can't separate them. The jury will see that, I believe.

Good morning from New York. We're embarking on the second full day of deliberations, after the roughly 45 minutes of huddling the jury undertook following Ghislaine Maxwell summations. Missed what happened yesterday? Catch up here.
