Jurors wanted to know if they'll have to work through the holidays. Here is what Nathan is telling them in her response note: "So, I will say as needed everyday going fwd, including 12/31, 1/1/ and 1/2 , until you reach a verdict
Guess I won't be refreshing every 20 minutes today.

@MarlonEttinger

In the morning a producer for ABC spent about 5 minutes talking with Lea Saffian, the Maxwell family's attorney. Later, Saffian brought the producer to Maxwell, where they talked for about 45 seconds. Maxwell was "all smiles" according to someone who was in the courtroom.

I asked the producer how the conversation went. They paused for a few seconds before responding. "Don't misconstrue my silence for disrespect, but I'm not going to tell you."

Didn't expect an answer of course! I assume they're trying to set up an interview though

Well, IMO...ABC gets "The Interview".....
See recent 'celebrity victims' interviews with ABC.....:rolleyes:

Judge Nathan wants a verdict!
In my amateur opinion, the court needs to step lightly here. We don't want to give the Defense any reason to push for mistrial based on being pressured due to holidays, etc. Step lightly; let it play out.

And they were nice enough to kill the interview Virginia Giuffre did with Amy Robach.

The judge has always prefaced the need to deliberate each day (as long as there isn’t a hardship or commitments) and to take as long as you need to deliberate.

IMO, Covid is a concern, especially since the courthouse has said so, and people need to be wearing N95s or KN95s, NYC now is a hot spot. A mistrial due to any participants getting sick at this point would be awful.

We all want a verdict….and I would also say that goes for the reporters covering this stuck at the courthouse :rolleyes:

James Hill, senior producer and investigative journalist for ABC News, was invited by one of Maxwell's lawyers to sit on the front bench of the public gallery and talk to her Wednesday morning.

Hill, who won an a Murrow Award for producing the podcast Truth and Lies: Jeffrey Epstein, appeared to introduce himself to Maxwell who smiled back and did the same.

This makes me feel very uncomfortable. Seems irregular.

What happens if the jurors reach a verdict on some of the counts, but can't on others?
Not a complete mistrial, I hope.

Another Ghislaine Maxwell jury note: "May we please have the Larry Visoski transcript." That means they're scrutinizing the testimony of both former Jeffrey Epstein pilots.

Nooo. Wrong, wrong, wrong. This is not good journalism. This is not what I meant weeks ago when I said MSM needs to step up the coverage.

MSNBC is doing more thorough reporting now. While focusing on Judge forcing jury to deliberate every day until verdict, the news reports are playing catch-up on court testimony.

Judge needs to take control here. Not ok.

All 12 members of the jury must be unanimous in their vote on each count.

I agree. Was he conducting and interview in the courtroom? What the what?

just a meet and greet

@benbwieder

A curious scene played out in the courtroom as Maxwell family attorney Leah Saffian, who took the famous photo of Ghislaine Maxwell at an In-N-Out Burger, motioned for an ABC reporter to approach Maxwell during a break in the trial and brokered an introduction

Maxwell smiled and appeared to introduce herself to Hill and was heard to say that she was willing to speak to the media before a U.S. marshal told the journalist to return to his seat.

I doubt it and appears highly irregular. I think we need to check this out.
