I mentioned earlier in the thread if there might be someone out there who is afraid she may name names. I wondered about that with JE too.
oh yes. GM has some leverage now that she has been convicted. Naming names.

In federal prison, she'll be required to work, though. That should keep her occupied. She presumably won't have the gazzillion hours of computer access she's allowed now.

She can't access the internet freely. No inmate can. Her access would be for emails and to work on her case.

It's a 2016 deposition in the civil case between VRG and GM. Here's a direct link, but be warned, it's excruciating to read and there's over 400 pages of GM being a d***.
@Legally Bland You have been a quiet force of reason since Day One in this thread. Thanks for the depo.

I was amazed GM never fled to Europe. She certainly had many opportunities and the funds to do it. Did she think she was untouchable? I guess it's that sense of entitlement she always had.
Maybe she thought she was better off trying to hide in the US than risk being seen/caught trying to exit. JMO.

Will her attorneys and their assistants do internet tasks on her behalf. Does she still have wealth?

Thanks to Virginia Robert and the four women who had the courage to testify. Doors will open. Let this be the beginning.

There is no law against her asking people to do personal and/or legal and professional business on the computer for her and her money is still her money after she pays whatever court costs and restitution she might have.

Her husband is probably busy taking care of her affairs.

Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell convicted of sex trafficking

A jury on Wednesday found Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, guilty of five of six sex-trafficking charges.

Maxwell was found guilty on three conspiracy charges, as well as a separate sex-trafficking count and a charge for transporting a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity.

The Epstein associate was acquitted of enticement of a person under 17 years old to travel for illegal sexual activity in connection with one of her accusers.

SDS posted the depo, I have read it before but it can be challenging to find docs as there are so many cases, civil and criminal, some with over a thousand dockets, so kudos to SDS.

A big thank you to you @Chelly, @sds71 and @BUF for posting updates, plus anyone else I've missed.

Have to admit I was anxious before the verdicts came in, couldn't tell which way the jury was going at all.

Re; Hubby. Don't think so. I had read earlier he has a new gf. Don't remember where, but there is this.
Ghislaine Maxwell's mysterious hubby Scott Borgerson now MIA

Statement Of U.S. Attorney Damian Williams On The Verdict In U.S. V. Ghislaine Maxwell

“A unanimous jury has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty of one of the worst crimes imaginable – facilitating and participating in the sexual abuse of children. Crimes that she committed with her long-time partner and co-conspirator, Jeffrey Epstein. The road to justice has been far too long. But, today, justice has been done. I want to commend the bravery of the girls – now grown women – who stepped out of the shadows and into the courtroom. Their courage and willingness to face their abuser made this case, and today’s result, possible.

I also want to thank the career prosecutors of the Southern District of New York, who embraced the victims’ quest for justice and have worked tirelessly, day in and day out, to ensure that Maxwell was held accountable for her crimes. This Office will always stand with victims, will always follow the facts wherever they lead, and will always fight to ensure that no one, no matter how powerful and well connected, is above the law.”

I know its just a sketch, but why is she not cuffed? She's guilty and in custody, verdict in. Just 1 Marshall?

Can't help but feel for them. Family that believed in their sister.
The ripple effect.
That's why she could barely look at them.
Because now they know.
The jury has spoken.
Guilty.
MOO.

She has mandatory prison time, though, because it's a sex offense? And, why would a judge be lenient if she names names, when she could have plead guilty and coughed up the goods and got a "nicer" sentence?

Plus, she evaded LE. That's not gonna look good. Maybe that would put her in a higher security prison?

Not if she wants to do easy time. Those names have friends in low places.

That's correct, but she had access to a computer for HOURS a day while awaiting trial. That's not gonna happen now.Federal prisons have a special email system, and you gotta pay.
