In his ruling, Judge Paul Engelmayer cited a new law passed last month requiring the release of files on Jeffrey Epstein.

In the 2019 matter USA v Epstein, he died before justice served, requiring his case dismissed. IMO, the GJ transcripts, affidavits, and subpoenas are where the critical details are documented -- not emails and gossip rags.
While I'm pleased to see Judge Paul A Engelmayer approved the release of grand jury transcripts and exhibits from
Maxwell's 2021 sex trafficking case, which were previously withheld, it's not clear from this news release if this includes the details previously kept sealed by federal court Decision and Order dated 8/20/2025, where Judge Richard Berman denied the unsealing of grand jury transcripts and exhibits-- referencing
USA v Maxwell (GJ trans & exh) and
Guiffre v. Maxwell (exh/affidavits) in its decision.
I'm afraid full disclosure is going to be a situation where transparency will forever be hijacked by 18 U.S.C. § 3771, the Crime Victim's Rights Act-- which guarantees fairness, privacy, conferral, and protection.
Playing devil's advocate, I do see the irony of disclosing details and/or naming
alleged perps while shielding victims to protect their civil rights, who previously received millions in damages for violation of their civil rights. MOO
ETA: I'll try to pull the federal Order(s) and updated Docket next weekend when I have more time to review!
