Poor guy and his family, he looks so friendly and had little kids too
Reading SM comments I feel like one of very few who doesn't suspect the friend of harming him. Several more realistic explanations than murder and cover-up.
imo... Autopsy will tell more.

Became stuck due to the flat tire, kept engine on because it was cold?
I won't believe this was anything but a sad accident unless autopsy results points to something different.

I checked the weather archive and yeah it was pretty cold that night. If you got wet trying to unstick your truck you could definitely go hypothermic.
