epiphany:

Are these dates/days screwed up? Lack of proofreading or JR's error?

<snip> Rackover, 25, the surrogate son of a prominent Manhattan jeweler, said he stayed home to watch an Ultimate Fighting Championship bout. on Nov. 13, a Saturday, and never left his E. 59th St. apartment.

<snip> He also said that after they all left, he went straight to sleep. Rackover said he hung out with his stand-in dad, and the pair watched a football game on Nov. 14.

Nov 12 was a Saturday

The 14th was a Monday

Can't imagine James' attorney thought it was a good idea to allow NYND to interview him, but who knows...

I noticed this in other report also.

One report said the footage is of James on Monday with the suitcases and others say duffel bag. They are two very diffetent things.imo

Looks like the attorney wasn't happy about the interview.

I'm trying to understand...who do you mean by "they"?

I mean the people who are controlling the investigation and what is being said.

This article is WHACKED!

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/11/16/nypd-disappearance-of-connecticut-man/

The man who was stuffing the bags into the car wasimmediately taken in for questioning, but let go when he refused to speak. But the evidence collected on scene was enough for police to warrant a search inside the home and car of the person of interest, who was placed back in police custody on an unrelated charge.

This, to me, sounds like how the confession was squeaked out of Dilione

A cooperating witness led police to what is believed to be Comunale’s body on the Jersey Shore, sources

Dilione is the witness and the guy with the garbage bags??

I believe Dilione was totally busted by that video tape.

I don't believe the luggage cart was used because why drag the garbage bags.

I don't believe there ever were suitcases.

The last post and article were from the 15th of Nov.
This is from the 16th.

I think they tried to switch it around on to James but they already said too much.

I've need seen anything like this..

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/11/15/stamford-man-missing/

*snip*
Meanwhile, police received an UNRELATED 911 call about a man dragging a suspicious trash bag out of a luxury co-op building at 418 E. 59th St. in Midtown East, sources said.

What do they mean unrelated!?

The person who called 911 regarding the suspicious trash-bag movement didn't know Joey was a missing person. The caller was unrelated to that missing person case but was calling about the suspicious activity s/he witnessed at the apartment.

That is my understanding. It was a coincidence that the 911 call came in about the bags. It turned out to be related to Joey's case, but the caller didn't know that.

@inthedetails Hi.. I understand what you are saying but they are saying a lot of different things.. Like garbage bag man was immediately taken into custody if not same day of 911 call, how did they knew who he was if not for the video tape,? Larry was first arrested.. I'm having trouble expressing what I'm trying to say.. Larry is the witness, the party attendee, the garbage man, the body mover. It's just crazy..

If garbage bag man was busted, Joey would never have made it to Jersey. How could they arrest Larry for moving the body 1st,yet James is also moving said body.. If James' lawyer can prove all of this James will be able to buy and sell Jeffrey.. Also I wonder how many jobs and incarceration will result if this turns out to be the case..imo moo and WoW this story is twisted!

Donna, not sure what you are talking about?? There are not enough facts yet to jump to conclusions. Larry was brought in for questioning after tapes at the building and witnesses from the club identified him. What is garbage bag man and buy and sell Jeffrey??? What do you mean by jobs and incarceration????

There have been no new facts released.

In my opinion inconsistencies are from early reporting. Still piecing together the story and news outlets trying to be the first.

I think the point about not sleuthing victims isn't that other sites have to hold to that standard but that we here at WS do not bring those discussions here.

I am making that as a general statement, not specific to this particular link. When I read the letter was emotional, I knew I couldn't read it. I usually find it easy to stay disconnected from cases, but if someone gets emotional, I am affected and sometimes that is just too much. I am not making a statement on whether that particular link breaks TOS.

Sorry to hear you have lost your friend Karina. I have been following that case through WS and it is truly heartbreaking and frightening.

jmo

oh no problem. I may have misunderstood. which obviously happens when people are typing lol you can't sense tone of voice through a computer, but, so you also know, I wasn't offended either :) just making a general statement as well.

Thank you for your kind words about Karina. I know there is no way I'd be able to comment on that forum as objectively as I can on this one. So I don't go there. But what I enjoy about all of us, is our ability to express compassion while still maintaining a level head while we still discuss the circumstances.

https://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20...-lawrence-dilione-arraignment-joseph-comunale This article states he was stabbed in the torso and earlier reports stated all over his body. Reports from the Daily News stated blunt force injury They seem to be playing these two facts down now and just saying stabbed in the chest I feel it is an attempt to make it look as if one person did it. I feel Joey has injuries of someone who was jumped by SEVERAL people..The suspects appear to have NO injuries Moo

The man dragging garbage bag was Larry. I also meant, imo, if James lawyer can prove a possible attempt at a frame job, there would be firings and possible incarcerations of those who attempted this. I mean Larry admitting to handling and burying the body and that is a fact so far in this case. Moo

Let's talk about that for a second... the suspects have no injuries. That's a pretty big deal. (Unless, that info was never released into the media, for some reason? Just throwing that possibility out there, who knows?) IF there was an alleged confrontation between one or more suspects and JC, let's assume (even though I don't like assuming but in this case it's a given), JC would attempt to defend himself and there would be visible injures on one or more of the suspects. JC was also a physically fit individual, further supporting my suggestion that there would be some kind of act of self defense.

I'm sure an autopsy was performed on JC. And those details haven't been released and probably won't be until trial. But time of death and clues into his murder can definitely be extracted from that procedure.

It seems that There's so much that isn't being released to the press (which Im not surprised about, and frankly I also support because I think it encourages privacy) and IMO that could be at the request of the victims family. But this is all opinion and maybe, wishful thinking a little.

Considering what we know so far, combined with the fact that the suspects don't have a scratch on them, could one potential theory be that suspect(s) attacked the victim in his sleep.. while he was passed out... otherwise incoherent...? It's so disturbing to even speculate and consider the possibility. It's so far fetched and so off topic, I know, it makes no sense, and I don't believe there have been any reports to suggest what Ive just said. But it seems so strange.. Especially when you factor in the multiple stab wounds which are usually indicative of an act of rage, passion, and knowing the victim on a deeper level; that type of behavior is personal, it's a vendetta.

Persons, places to things I feel don't exist or never happened.

The 3 girls and friends from Connecticut. I feel Joey may have gone out alone to the Gilded Lily. I feel this because of the bar change, the added speculation of the sexual advance made without proof and no one has heard hide nor hair of any of these people since. I feel this conjecture was in part to make Pat C feel better.

I also feel there was never a 911 call, otherwise why didn't the police show up. I feel this was an effort to not admit to having the 2 suspects caught red handed in basement adjusting the film and dragging the bags.

I feel no one ever asked about how long they keep the tapes. I also feel no luggage cart, suitcases or duffel bags were used. This was an attempt to put blame on James and use old footage of him packing for vacation.

I feel Joey was dismembered and his legs were burned. He was not in a suit case. The sheets were at the burial spot yet brought to The Sutton while they had news crews to film their "discovery" I don't feel he was thrown of window, that also being an attempt shift focus from the basement footage and shift blame to James, this also being done during film crew presence. I'm sorry this is one big paragraph, I have editing issues going on.. This all just my opinion.

I saw mention in an interview that JC traveled to NY with friends, and also that they separated that night - not sure at what point:
" “Joey wasn’t a partier, and he didn’t go down to the city, you know, to be a partier,” Pat Comunale said. “He had a lot of friends with him that night and unfortunately they separated and he met up with the wrong guys.” "

News reports say that JC did not however know the women - or the 2 suspects - from the GS condo before that evening:
"Comunale was last seen entering the Grand Sutton building, 418 E. 59th St. on Sunday morning with three men and three women he had just met that night, according to Boyce. He had left a club in the Village with the people to continue the party at the building"

I would have expected more to be said about the basement and cameras, perhaps this will come in time.

the suspects don't have a scratch on them

hello - re: your comment above... was any follow up / additional info ever posted regarding any wounds or marks on the suspects ? i had only read the following:
"Assistant District Attorney Antoinette Carter asked Judge Gerianne Abriano to allow investigators to photograph Rackover, to check for signs of a struggle or other injuries.
“Injuries to the victim are consistent with blunt force trauma," Carter said. “We believe the defendant should be photographed." "

Thanks for posting these links. Also, important to remember that MSM will post inaccurate info at the start and throughout the investigation, as, NYPD is not giving them much info or facts. I find this more so with NY police depts than others. We will find many tidbits changing from one article/report to the next.
