True could be.. I'm probably just reaching on this one.. But if you replay video and look to left when she does do you see anything thru the brush.. I played and paused it a few times and thought I saw something or someone moving.. Seemed to look like something maybe wearing a white t-shirt..

I should stay away from SM comments on news pages. Oh my lord people commenting on what she is wearing. Seriously?? I hate victim blaming and I hate the fact that women victim blame. Why is it okay for a man to walk half naked and women never rape them. What a person wears has nothing to do with the crime commited!!! The only issue is the person commiting the crime. Ok end rant. =)

I know It pisses me off when they talk about her clothes or how she must have been an escort..Especially if they didn't grow up that way.. The way she and her friends dress/ed are normal for me.. They like to look good, clothes, hair, nails, make-up its how they are brought up.. And most Italian parents want their kids to have everything they want.. It doesn't make them bad people.. IMO, Anyone who blames a victim either has low self esteem or has some other issue within themselves..

I do see how she turns her head to the left, then back to look ahead then to the left again. Good catch! Almost as if she heard or saw something/someone.

Going back to the fact that her socks were wet when found and there being a puddle nearby, if Karina's feet were wet, then I'm pretty sure the killers was as well. I'm hoping this will make someones memory come back of that night and possibly seeing someone with wet shoes.

I remember seeing a photo on media with the puddle. It was a large puddle, not small at all.

ok OldSteve... Not a Sopranos watcher BUT and Old NewYorker my friend and I thought the SAME thing!
Okay, perhaps too much watching the Sopranos - could guy in the trunk be the perp? Being he's found near a park that's not that far from Howard Beach...

Tomorrow Crime Watch Daily will interview the friend Karina was talking to (or texting) when jogging.

Go to youtube. You can see the the interview in its entirety between Chris Hansen and Det Boyse. For some reason the top portion of the video is blurred out. An area of the park facing the street. Have a look.

You may be right. Theres an area that is deliberately blurred out in the youtube video.

I think it's blurred out because it has the home owners information on there.

Hi everyone, I just recently joined the site but I've been following this post. I don't live in H.B. but my cousin used to live there and still has a business there so Im familiar with area. Although not with the inside of the park. Anyway after watching the video, did anyone else notice that she turned her head to the left almost as if someone either called her name or there was something going on?

Hi Bklyngrl007, welcome to WS from another Brooklyn girl! :loveyou:

Being so close to home, this case has really touched me. Seeing her pictures was one thing, but the video of her running had me in tears. It made this more real to me and more heartbreaking than it was before and I didn't think that was possible.

New video has emerged of a 30-year-old New York City woman hours before she was killed while jogging last month.

The video, released by Crime Watch Daily, shows Karina Vetrano jogging in Queens hours before her body was discovered. Vetrano is seen wearing running shorts and an athletic top while she runs in the road.

On Aug. 2, Vetrano was strangled while jogging alone on a path where she and her father often ran together. The NYPD still has no suspects who match the DNA recovered from the scene.

Police have released a sketch of a man they would like to question but do not call him a suspect.

If for some reason the perp did not exit out onto the bike path, the only other way to exit other then onto residential streets is to go under the Crossbay Bridge and walk towards Vetro, the arrow in the photo shows where Vetro's parking lot is. At the time of her murder I'm assuming Vetro was opened and had their valet parking, so I'm not sure the killer could sneak by..but I'm hoping they checked those camera as well as others on Crossbay Blvd.

I have Nancy Grace on. She is saying they are now searching familial DNA. This is new to me, not sure where Nancy heard this. But this is great news!

Awesome.

Does that mean a family member has agreed to a DNA swab or they are looking through the database for a family member?? Did they explain it on the show?

Nancy said they were looking through the database and analyzing if there are any family members in the system and then they will contact them to further investigate. A cousin, brother, uncle, sister etc could have commited a crime and this may lead to the killer. I'm hoping.
