Utica Police Chief: Father has not given an "acceptable or satisfactory" reason why he waited 2 wks to report his 9 month old son missing

Utica Police Chief says investigators "have a problem" with the story told by father on 9 month-old baby that has not been seen in two weeks

The Utica police and the mother of 9-month-old Levon Wameling are now pleading to the public for any assistance in the investigation.

Police are asking those who live in the Jay Street neighborhood where Levon allegedly was last seen to “check your backyards, check your sheds, check abandoned cars and buildings, anything that could hide something or someone,” said Utica police Sgt. Steve Hauck.

The words of Amy Warney, a mother already grieving for her still-missing son, appeared only for a minute,
“Just please call the Utica police so I can put him to rest. Just please don’t be scared if you know anything. Just please contact somebody,” cried Amy Warney, voice cracking with sobs during a press conference at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

She buried her face in the shoulder of a friend before addressing slews of news cameras and the public watching her pleas.

What I don't understand is why the police doesn't call the father in for questioning, attorney and all. They are wasting precious time. IF baby is still alive - big IF.

was he scaling the house to get up on the roof? "up on the roof" is typical bath salts behavior. the high is similar to meth/coke and causes paranoid delusions. they seek a high vantage point against shadow people and whoever else is following them or interested in them

Poor Levon. He is such a sweet and happy looking baby. How can someone not love him?

I am so tired of negligent parents disappearing their babies.

Neighbors on Jay Street in Utica recall loud nights full of music and drinking that often ended with the cops being called.

The man who lives in the apartment below Jevon Wameling's on Jay Street says he distinctly remembers hearing 9-month-old Levon crying back on either May 28th or May 29th.

Neighbors say Jevon lives a typical night life, coming home at 2 or 3 in the morning, often under the influence of alcohol. The neighbor, who did not give his name, says there were often complaints about the loud music coming from his apartment. He says that behavior all suddenly stopped two weeks ago, which he found odd.

Neighbors says the cops were called to Jevon's apartment once a week because of screaming fights inside the apartment. The neighbor says those fights ended back on April 10th when his girlfriend moved out.

http://www.wktv.com/news/local/Neig...-baby-Levon-crying-in-late-May-211316091.html

10th April Jevon’s girlfriend (Levon’s mother?) moved out
9th May Levon’s mother went into court ordered rehab/custody
16th May Levon's aunt and her mother tried to get custody of Levon
23rd May Levon’s mother entered rehab facility
28th/29th May A neighbour heard Levon crying
29th May 11:30pm Levon last seen wearing only a diaper on front porch

I wonder what Jevon did about his nightlife in that week (or few weeks) that he was single-parenting Levon?
Did he leave Levon ‘sleeping’ at night while he snuck out and partied?
Did he take Levon with him and subject Levon to that kind of stress?
Did his place become the party venue?
Did Jevon have drug debts or expensive habits?
