While I havent had the time to read this entire thread I am curious about something; has the possibility that SG drowned while trying to escape whoever was chasing after her been considered? It has been reported in several accounts that her trail of footprints led directly to the Great South Bay. I believe it was a Newsday article from around the time the SCPD divers searched the waters of Hemlock Cove back in April.

Also, accounts keep stating her as saying "They are trying to kill me", or "They are coming after me" but yet reports indicate that it was only one Asian man in an SUV. Is it possible that maybe her medication for her Bipolar disorder combined with the illegal drugs she was using made her severely dazed, incoherent, and delusional? Maybe nobody was after her and she was just so worked up over her dispute over how much $ JB was supposed to pay her that she just snapped?

that's 1 portion of the show that caught my eye...

that Brewer did refuse to pay Gilbert after she had been there for about 2 to 3 hours....and that's when "something happened inside the home" (per the 48 hrs show) and Gilbert phoned 911.

it's still my opinion that Brewer is the SK.

Do you need to authenticate anything to exit? I would think code on the way in, and automatic on way out, but I have never been inside the gate.

You're probably right on that, truth. I've never lived in a gated community, but what you say makes sense. Guess more security is surrounding who comes in than who leaves.

The reason that hasn't been seriously debated is that there haven't been any credible reports on it, and I think common sense tells most people, a woman capable of getting away from this fairly successful murderer isn't then going to accidentally kill herself in waist deep water. Moreover, bodies that go in the water are almost always found, especially when there are police looking for the missing person! This falling in the water nonsense is a pathetic campaign by someone in oak beach who is dying for everyone to think we have a Missing Persons case and not a murder victim. They may have been able to convince or coerce Coletti into entertaining the idea or spreading the rumour, but they have no chance of convincing us real sleuthers. Save the sillyness for the LISK site.

Hi Truthspider, I have lived in 2 gated communities on the Oregon Coast, both needed code to get in and automatic on the way out.

I never read that a trail of her footprints led directly to the Great South Bay.

I think the only time footprints were mentioned was they were 'in the sand' and that was stated by the Canning family @35 Anchor Way, a mother and son duo. They were the last to see Shannan except possibly for the DrH, and we don't know exactly what time or where he saw her out and about. IMO

There has been some discussion in that regard WI, but given all the other factors, i don't think many of us consider a drowning scenario all that plausible.

I believe when Shannan was on the 911 call saying that "they" (?) were trying to kill her, was the same time that JB, the drifter, and MP were all in or about JB's house, before she fled, encountered GC and another OB neighbour, and the SUV came after her. Then somewhere along the line, CPH enters the picture. Toss in the fact that the bodies of 4 other working girls are found in close proximity to the same OB community ... ??? Smacks of foul play to most of us.

My B above and think that is exactly how it went down. Thanks Silly for putting it in perspective. IMO

So, that would mean the Dr. was the one driving whatever Shannan was being pulled into? Did he just happen by, was he in JB's house, or did JB call him during Shannan's rantings?

I was wondering where he got Shannan's mothers phone number, but that would have come off the flyers if it was after she passed them out. The 2 phone calls are reminiscent of the sister of the other girl being called, wonder where the Dr. was when those calls were placed to that girl's sister.

The only problem with it being the Dr. is that he doesn't look like he could take down all these people. Of course his wife could be in on it, if he really does "runs a shelter." Or the Dr. and JB. Too complicated.

At first I was going with drug/prostitution gang running the coast. I'm not certain if all of the girls had previous pimps and quit them to do their own thing or not though. If it was a gang issue, there would be a few thugs putting the word out each time a girl left and eventually the girl would be found and taken care of. That would make sense with all of the bodies.

But I can't see how the Oak Beach people fit into that.

On 48 HRS they so consistantly said "wrapped in burlap" I am thinking the GB4 were probably not in sacks. Wonder if that helps LE narrow down sources for the burlap?

I talked to my neighbor who's friend saw a girl running from Oak Beach screaming in the middle of a rainy night. I asked him if this incident could have happened 6 years ago (as flukeyou pointed out on LISK) and he said "Definitely NOT! It only happened 2 years ago". So if everyone is correct, there was a girl running from Oak Beach screaming that she was drugged by a group of men and sexually assaulted in 2005.; then there was another girl running and screaming in the middle of a rainy night in 2009; and then there was SG running and screaming at 5AM in 2010.

WTF is going on in Oak Beach?? And why aren't police looking into it? Who is involved? And to think the a SCPD 3rd Precinct officer lives right next door to the doctor is just mind-boggling!

we were there a few weeks ago and the entry gate was actually broken so we were able to drive around, but i don't remember there being an exit gate...if there was, we definitely didn't need to authenticate to get out...

Ahhh.. the second letter. "When we spoke last friday".. ok so Hackett corresponds with this tv show at least 3 times. Geeez he just can't stay away from this investigation can he. Ok on to the analysis.

Oh lord, I don't want to reveal what I just figured out about this pdf. Ok I'm not going to. Damm. F#$% it. Ok, its too late and going to get out anyway... The DOPES at 48 hours didn't obscure the phone numbers properly. Open the pdf in acrobat and you can simply pull away the black blobs that hide info they SHOULDN'T be giving out. Including the docs fax num, signature and the 2 numbers he called on May 6th and 9th (Holy horrender-bender look at that docs signature, wtf.)

Ok, I believe this second letter completely incriminates the doctor.
On Thursday May 6th he calls the Mother on the number he claims to have gotten from Alex and Mike. Then at noon on the following Sunday, May 9th he calls SG's little sister on her number, NOT the number "given to him" by Pak and Diaz. Here's the key, the family never went to Oak beach until that day, Sunday, mothers day, May 9th. Unless the family had already gotten to Oak beach at noon, AND already hung up posters AND put the younger sisters phone number on the poster, AND the doc saw it on the poster ....

Then where did he get that number? because he already stated his new bullshiz alibi as to where he got the mothers number. Certainly Diaz, nor Pak, nor the mother gave this creepy looking m0@#$fac#$k the little sisters number. Couldn't come up with a story for where you got little sisters number could you?

So did the family happen to be going to oak beach the same day that the doc just happened to call the little sister? Or did the little sister get this call, then the family decided to go to oak beach to confront this weirdo doc for calling the little sister because they too wondered where the f%$^ he got the number?

In the second paragraph he states the family (and incorrectly calls SG's sisters Mrs. Gilberts sisters) came to his house while he had his family and guests at his house (I'm guessing there mothers day get together didn't start at noon) to confront him. "We answered questions for them to the best of our ability"

"I am perplexed as to why, almost a year later; I became a person of interest to the family" .... you were suspect #1 to the family on May 9th 2010, one week after she went "Missing" because you can't control your self and can't stay out of your fantasy role playing game even if it takes you down.

"We parted on friendly terms" ... It sure doesn't seem like it to me, they have thrown your name into the media as a liar and murderer... that's not friendly.

Hmm calling the victims little sister, calling the victims little sister, why does that sound so familiar? Oh right, that's what the SK has done to the other victims :banghead:

Seriously SCPD, make the f@&#ing arrest already.

When you do finally go pick up this devil, please send the officer who so kindly picked up David Laffer, and make sure Hackett "resists arrest" as did Laffer.

While you are at it, let them share a cell in Riverhead I'm sure there is at least one good corrections officer who will try to put out the fire that accidentally starts in their cell.

Hey truthspider!

I resemble that remark!!! LMAO!!!
As do I!

yeah, i think most of us would react the way JB has reacted, but only one of us would react the way Hackett has.

Yeah, sorry SCPD but you really need to fire that cop, if you are a cop and you have been living next to a prolific serial killer, in a tiny community like this, and the guy can continue to murder after what happen on May 1. Well then maybe you aren't really a f#$%ing cop and you should get a different occupation, crash test dummy? security guard for a dollar store?

That's like being a compliance officer assigned to the Madoff fund, "Yup everything looks good here, lets go to lunch"....

I can just see this dumbo cop saying, "morning doc, whats in the bloody burlap bag?"

"Ah man I hit another deer on ocean parkway last night",

"Geez, you have terrible luck, isn't that the 5th deer you hit in the last 2 years? Need a hand getting it into the back of your official looking truck?"

"NO!, NO! I got it, just cuz I have a peg-leg Doesn't mean I can't do it all by myself"

Yes, I'm responding to my own posts now, I'm starting to lose it like Fluke.
I guess that's what happens when you can see the truth.

Anyway, I now realize we are dealing with one of those, "I really really want to get caught" SK's. There is no rational reason for Hackett to converse with and write the producers of this tv show and confess these things: "I think it was her sister's number". I mean WTF. He has tripped up and exposed himself (massively) yet again.

I've been reading all of John Douglas's books, and Hackett has blossomed into one of these guys who are more concerned with the post crime activity than they are with not being caught or killing again.

He's like the murderers who literally turn themselves because they are going to get off showing the cops where the bodies are, or the ambulance driver who kills a random victim, calls it in anonymously so he can pick up the body and watch the investigation first hand.

His post crime behavior is far more risky than his methodical pre-crime planning. He is almost a completely different creature, post crime. The murderer in him now wants the next thrill, he is in new exciting territory for the first time since 2000 when he started killing

Morning all,

I think in addition to everything, the activities that may or may not have been occurring in OB are unsettling, to say the least...especially in regard to the possibility of two other women running from OB in years past. One thing that jumps out at me, is that after all we've learned about SG, there is no doubt in my mind she is a tough, tough girl. I have a hard time believing she wouldn't have just beat the hell out of CPH if he was the one pulling her into the truck...now of course, any number of factors could account for her being pulled into the truck, i.e. weapon, or something else. But I am inclined to believe it may have been more than one person pulling her into the truck before the 911 line went dead. Especially if that overweight, slob CPH was there, SG, in my mind, would be able to fight him....Which leads me to my next question...police saw no tire tracks, or any other evidence of a vehicle where she was last seen? If she was pulled into a vehicle, the person would have to subdue SG inside the vehicle in order to get away clean, she would've been fighting the whole time. Makes me believe if she was in fact pulled into a vehicle, A) there was more than one person in the vehicle, B)she may never have left OB, maybe driven somewhere very very close and disposed of.

Sorry for the rambling, thoughts are all over the place today
