Hi, I've been thinking about 'Irene' the hurricane, as they say she will hit LI with gusto. Evidently the last hurricane, 'Donna' I believe that was in that area didn't hit LI.

If there is anything buried there I hope it is exposed or unearthed. I also pray for everyone's safety and will have y'all in my thoughts come Sat.

xox

Several hurricanes have hit LI since Donna. The ones I recall are Belle, Gloria and Bob. Of course none of those were as sttong as Donna.

A few random thoughts that might give sleuther's a jumping off point.

The Express Holiday Inn (Hauppaugue): We know that MW was last seen on June 6, 2010 @1:30 am, walking away from this motel. The fact that she was walking away from the motel is important, because it tells us that whoever she met up with wasn't a guest of the hotel that night. According to DS, ACL's last client on the night she disappeared had also asked ACL to meet him at 1:00 am, at this same motel, 2 weeks earlier. This would have been around mid-August, a little over 2 months after MW disappeared from the same motel. We know that MW was a registered guest at the motel, and we know that she was seen LEAVING the motel on foot the night she vanished, so we can safely assume that her killer wasn't a registered guest of the motel that night. Now, we have no way of knowing if ALC ever did meet this man at the motel (I suspect she turned him down), but the more important question is WHY did this man ask her to meet him there. ALC lived in North Babylon, her remains were found in Oak Beach. If our killer also lives in Oak Beach, why would either of the 2 make a trip north to the Express Holiday Inn in Hauppague? Why would that location even be suggested? Doesn't add up. Unless, Hauppague is a convenient meeting point for our SK for some reason. A few interesting facts: LongislandAndy (using UG name here because he hasn't been outted in msm) was questioned by LE about a date he had with ALC some time in August. He lives in Ronkonkoma, off the LI Expressway. It's a very short distance to this motel from his residence. Just something to keep in mind. Also, if memory serves, CPH at one time worked for a hospital close to the motel. Did he do work at that hospital at the time of MW or ALC's disappearance? I have no idea. What's interesting though about the Express Holiday Inn connection is that MW was last seen at 1:30 am, and this client asked to meet ALC at the same motel at 1 am. That's an odd time if our sk were leaving work and returning to his home in Oak Beach. Not odd hours for a doctor, of course, but for most other professionals. So, I'm not really seeing "work" as the connection here (unless we're looking at CPH). What other reason would an Oak Beach resident travel to Hauppage and be there at that time of the morning? Bar? Strip club? Visiting family? If he lives in the area of the motel (Hauppague, Ronkonkoma, etc), why did the bodies end up in Oak Beach? If there wasn't a trail leading to our sk, it wouldn't matter where he dumped these bodies...any side of the road would do. He brought these women to Oak Beach for a reason, and I truly believe that reason is so that he could be close to them, pass them several times a day, have his private, dirty little secret. So, I do think he lives in Oak Beach. But it's also possible he works in Oak Beach and lives elsewhere. Just something to ponder.

Courting And Gaining Trust: We know that our SK wasn't a first time client of at least 3 of the Gilgo 4. ALC had been contacted by him before, and felt safe enough with him to leave behind her cellphone. MB was intent on keeping this client's identity a secret from her "boyfriend", despite the fact that he had offered to give her a ride that night. MW was secure enough to leave her motel room on foot to meet this client somewhere of his choosing (despite the fact she had a room!). This wasn't a first time client, imo (not for these 3 anyway). He courted them before he made the move to the final fantasy. That tells me he has money to spend. But I don't believe that throwing around cash or being a regular would have been enough to convince these girls to let their guard down. There has to be something about this guy that made these girls think they could handle even a violent confrontation with him. Something physical. Was he older? Seem frail to them? Was he physically disabled? Was he well known, well established, someone they thought would have to be crazy to do anything and risk his position? Several things lend credence to the idea that this man was older (yes, I know what the profilers say, don't care). According to MB's sister, Amanda, the man who called her sounded like an older white man. According to MB's boyfriend, the man who called him sounded like an older white man. Additionally, MB's boyfriend recounts that MB and another escort hung out alot on LI with an older man. So of we had an older man, perhaps not physically imposing, who had money to throw around on these girls and a steriling reputation, would THAT be enough persuade these girls to drop their guard? I think that's a resounding "YES!". JMO

Is He A Drinker? For a very long time I've had the gut feeling that our SK drinks. Not just casually. What made me think that? I'm not sure. I could just see the guy slipping up when he drinks and doing something uncharacteristically stupid. Last night I decided it was time to either find something solid to back up this gut feeling, or drop the idea altogether. Here's what I found: according to MB's boyfriend, the guy who called him often sounded drunk. Now, that's not really solid evidence, I know, but it does give my suspicions some weight. Then we have an online review of a certain suspect, wherein the reviewer claims that this "professional" appeared drunk or high. Hmmm. Then we have info about this same individual which involves lawsuits and rehab. Interesting. Also interesting along these lines of thinking would be the call to the family of SG. If CPH made that call himself (and it wasn't someone just claiming to be him), it was a whopper of a mistake. Could inebriation have provoked the call? I'm gonna say, "YEP!". Now, I have no earthly way of knowing whether or not CPH is our guy (in all fairness, he tops my list, though) but I think the same theory about intoxication could apply to others as well. Therefore, I'm not ready to give up my gut feeling that our SK drinks...quite alot.

Just some thoughts...stroll past if nothing interests you. ;-)

Thanks for a very well thought out post MK. All makes sense to me.

Just wanted to toss into the above "Courting and Gaining Trust" category that in Megan Waterman's last call home, she excitedly said to the effect "we're selling to doctors, lawyers, and LE professionals".

Thanks for adding that, SB.

I find it curious that MW would make a remark like that and state it as a fact. This is a shady scene we're talking about here. People don't present I.D. to an escort. They don't show them their law degree's or ask these girls to drop by the hospital and check them out sometime. So, some grocery store manager could easily become a doctor, lawyer, homicide detective...hell, make yourself an astronaut, why not? And yet, MW doesn't seem to have questioned these stories from clients...how come? Was she niave and trusting beyond common sense, or did she have some real way to check these guys and their stories out? I'm guessing it's the former rather than the latter. She believed what she wanted to believe, and if the guy had money to burn, that was proof enough to her that he was someone "high ranking".

wonder if our sk is worried about all his little hidey holes? ( I believe there are more)...

Irene is coming...could cause a lot of crime scene damage....kind of freaks me out just thinking about it...possibly finding skulls in the road...etc...

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww!

:okay:

I was in Stop & Shop tonight and as I was walking out of the store, guess who was walking in? That's right, JB!! And just like the last time in CVS, I said "Hey Joe, how's it going?" and he looked at me with a big smile and said "Good buddy, how are you?" and he slapped me on the shoulder. I have to tell you this guy is a very personable guy that will talk to anyone!! I made a huge mistake by not turning around to talk to him. I should have told him that the shelves were bare and see if that struck up a conversation. But I would rather run into him at a bar or something when he's got a couple in him. I think he would definitely open up a little.

I tell you though, something drives me crazy about him!! He keeps his house a MESS!! The screen door is broken and just stays open all the time. I don't understand why he doesn't fix it! His family owns multiple houses and rents them out so he must hire someone to do repairs because he obviously can't do them himself! So why doesn't he just have someone stop by the house and fix the damn thing!! What about his brother? What the heck is wrong with him that he can't run up to Lowe's and pick up a new piston for the door and fix it. It's a shame because he lives on a nice block and his house is the ONLY one on the block that looks like crap!

I don't get these people at all. They obviously have some money with all those houses. How can they live like that! No pride whatsoever! And I would love to know if JB has a job other than sitting around the house all day. I would love to know more about this guy.

I know his sister is a total whack job. Not the one at the liquor store. The other one. My wife dealt with her the other day and she told me that she is totally whacked!

I have to tell you that this family intrigues me.

With Irene on the way, I hope all our posters in her path have battened down the hatches and/or have already run for the hills. Stay safe peeps !! Thoughts are with you.

Irene is one mean storm! We didn't take a direct hit but it has been a long and wicked night. The water from the canal breached the bulkhead and flooded the road with about 3 ft of water. All of our windows are leaking and one is creaking like it's getting ready to blow out! some trees and power lines are down and we lost electricity overnight.

Dear NY and east coast sleuths, please take Irene seriously and evacuate if you are told to! We only had a voluntary evacuation order and I wish we had left.

Stay safe everyone!

News12 is opening up their website to non-subscribers during Hurricane Irene if anyone wants to check out any case footage that they weren't able to see in the past.

I am hoping all of our local NY posters stay safe from Hurricane Irene! One of my first thoughts was, that I hope the storm allows any previously undiscovered bodies to be found. If I say that to anyone besides my WebSleuth friends, they look at me like I am strange.

Irene is slow moving and dumping a lot of rain. A lot of flooding and trees aren't being broken by the wind. Instead they are coming up by the roots. Good chance things will be unearthed.

We can hope!

Why not ask him what happen that night? You could ask him who the drifter is! You could ask him who was at the party! You could ask him a million things <modsnip>

It may be easier said than done to ask questions of someone in the public eye who some believe is poi.

How are you Waltzingmatilda? I've been wondering about the locals and praying you are all safe.

I'm still curious if this weather un-earthed anything and are LE going to take a re-peek?

Could have made matters worse but maybe not.

Hope everyone is safe!! :seeya:

Hi cog! I am fine and I survived that floozie, Irene. I too wonder if anything was unearthed. However, if OB was affected by the storm like here in NC it may be awhile before anything is found. Folks here in NC are still cleaning up.

I wish some of the LI locals would check in here and give us an update. I hope everyone is ok.

Thanks for checking on me:)

OT: Hi WM!! Glad you fared well during the storm. A lot of places around LI still are without power, it depends on where you live. Not much damage in my immediate area but if you go one town over (or even a neighborhood over), it's a wreck. A lot of trees were uprooted and there was substantial flooding all around.

I haven't heard too much about the OB area yet but I would imagine there was some damage and the landscape was probably altered by the storm, I figure that could be helpful or harmful in terms of unearthing new evidence.

Thanks for checking in svpernin! Glad you made it thru the storm!:woohoo:

Yes, it could be harmful or helpful as I have seen storms cut new inlets in the past. I hope LE is keeping a keen eye on the GB/OB area during this time. If the killer has disposed of others in the area, I would bet that he will go back to check on his 'handywork' after the storm. MOO

I was down @ OB on Sunday morning. The water came over the Ocean Parkway into the bay in some spots. It dumped driftwood, sand and other debris all over the parkway.

I don't think this has been posted yet, it is an article from Newsday last week regarding "Jimmy" Tsui, the missing Stonybrook student who police thought may be the Asian male found on Ocean Parkway

Link: http://www.newsday.com/long-island/nassau/student-s-1998-disappearance-still-baffles-1.3122417

After the Gilgo find, the Tsui family waited impatiently for the results of genetic testing that would determine whether the body was Yim Tsui's. Nassau detectives had provided information and DNA samples from the family to Suffolk detectives.

But the family's hopes vanished when Suffolk forensic experts concluded a few weeks ago that the remains were not Yim Tsui's.

So sad that this family still has no answers. And who are these un-id'ed Ocean Parkway bodies?
