There is now a discussion thread set up for the GB4 and Shannan Gilbert. I hope this helps:)

Thanks for the suggestion MK. Unfortunately, I just finished setting it up. Hopefully it is ok or we can ask a mod to change the title if necessary......

It's just fine, Matilda. I'm working on putting together a msm overview of each of the four, plus SG, right now. :)

From early on CPH topped my list (for the GB4, NOT Manorville!), but I've always been open minded about that. I've sleuthed JB, MP, DS, etc. etc. I've even sleuthed people outside the known names associated with this case. Wherever a lead takes me, that's where I go. But Manorville is a red herring, imo. The more people focus on that case, the more they begin to lose sight of the known facts wrt the GB4.

All just MOO, of course.

After re-reading this article there is a connection for 2 victims whose torso's were found in Manorville and various body parts of theirs found in the woods off Ocean Parkway, GB4-land: http://www.longislandpress.com/2011/05/10/linking-the-manorville-and-gilgo-homicides/

I read somewhere it is thought this SK didn't dispose of his bodies right away.

Hopefully he made a great big mistake in packaging Jessica Taylor's 3 body parts together before dumping them off OP and it will help LE discover where those parts were kept for 7 years !

ETA: Reading my post there is something making me believe Taylor's body parts had not been there for 7 years. Not sure where I got that.

Recapping this for my own benefit:

10 distinct bodies found at Oak Beach.

1. Maureen Brainard Barnes
2. Amber Lynn Costello
3. Megan Waterman
4. Melissa Barthelemy
5. Jessica Taylor (partial remains)
6. Unidentified asian male (dressed in women's clothing)
7. Unidentified female known as Jane Doe 6
8. unidentified, "non-caucasian" child (who's mother's remains were located in Manorville)

That leaves 2 individuals I'm missing. Can anyone help me out?

Here's what I have after going over latest press releases so I would know how LE is now describing them:

VICTIMS AS BEING ID'D IN MEDIA

1. MAUREEN BRAINERD BARNES, July 9, 2007
2. MELISSA BARTHELMY, July 12, 2009
3. MEGAN WATERMAN, June 16, 2010
4. AMBER LYNN COSTELLO, Sept. 2, 2010
5. JESSICA TAYLOR, July 21, 2003, dismembered
6. Jane Doe No. 6, dismembered, reconstruction, last seen Summ 2000, Nov 19, 2000, Baby Doe found just East of her
7. Baby girl Doe, 1 to 5 years
8. Asian male tranny John Doe No. 8 The male victim was 5-feet-6-inches and was missing both the top and bottom molars and one of his top front teeth. Investigators determined that he was wearing women's' clothes when he died between five and 10 years ago, Dormer said.

Being lazy... here is the info w/links.

Jane Doe 9

The DNA from the skull found on the Nassau County section of Ocean Parkway matched that of legs that had washed ashore in 1996. ( link ) I am not inclined to think Manorville, or GB4, for that matter. In fact, this seems more like the Mamaroneck & Cold Spring Harbor murders. ( link ) Imo, the guy killing those women, while also dismembering them, used a boat to dispose of their remains.

Baby Doe & Jane Doe 10

The DNA of baby doe matched that of the west most remains found in the Nassau County section of Ocean Parkway. ( link ) Notably, the baby was wrapped in a blanket. ( link ) When a child is wrapped in a blanket, that generally indicates relative involvement... usually the mother. Since however, the other remains indicate a female relation, quite possibly the mother, the blanket is an anomally. The other anomally is that LE states that the child's death was not suspicious. In other words, they do not appear to believe she was murdered. ( link ) In this case, at best, we know that at least an adult female, likely the mother, and a toddler went missing. Does anyone know if Kibalo ( link ) has been ruled out?

SBM - Hey Scandi!!!! :seeya: It is great to hear from you on this case!!! I have always valued your opinion and observations!!! New thoughts and new ideas are desperately needed in this particular case!!! (Some new evidence wouldn't hurt either!)

Thanks, guys! For some reason, I thought the mother of Baby Girl Doe was found in Manorville.

So, the two I was missing are:

Jane Doe 9 - Skull and bag of bones found in OB (legs washed ashore in Davis Park, Fire Island). This is possibly the individual LE is currently putting together a composite sketch for.

Jane Doe 10 - The mother of Baby Girl Doe

And adding to my info on Jane Doe 6 - only her partial remains were found on Oak Beach. Her torso was located in the same Manorville area as Jessica Taylor's torso.

Correct on all points? (just thank the post if I've finally got it)

ETA: On Jane Doe 6...how can they state when she was last seen if they don't know who she is?!

I am new here and I am not sure if I can post a open facebook page web address here? Do you know if I can? It is the facebook page of the sketches and the information on the unidentified victims found on Ocean Parkway.

If the page is not private, and doesn't belong to an individual not named (by LE) as a person of interest in this case, you should be good to go.

Is it just me, or does this sound alot like scars from a fasciotomy?

Press reports from April 1996 indicate that two severed legs were found on the shores of Davis Park, on Fire Island, by two seasonal residents walking along the beach. The toenails of one foot were painted red and the right leg had 3 1/2-inch scar on the rear calf and L-shaped scar on the shin. The left leg had a 3 1/2-inch scar on the inner side.

I think that is right except to clarify:

#5 - Jessica Taylor ~ 3 partial remains, torso in Manorville
#7 - Jane Doe 6 ~ 3 partial remains, torso in Manorville

@Mountain_Kat: I think, it does. But to be on the save side, I call tomorrow one of my research experts. Did they write something about how long before the murder those scars were made (was the surgery months or rather years before death)?

LOL Neat to see you too Reannan. ;} I'm not contributing much here but did have a little brain fart when I read that 3 partial remains from one body were wrapped up together and found in the wooded area off OP. Why would he make one package? Seems odd to me.

The only thing I can think of is at Manorville the killer was very conscientious about the bodies never being ID'ed what with removing tattoo's for instance. So I think he could have taken the parts he removed from those 2 bodies, Jane Doe 6 and J Taylor and brought them to another place where they rested for years - probably buried in his garden or maybe at or near a place where bodies had been found from the flight 800 disaster. Just sayin'. And then when he got active again he thought OP was such a perfect dumping ground that he moved those 2 sets of partial remains over there. Something could have been changing too where he had those parts stored. IMO only

Crazy, eh??? LOL Do we know if those 2 sets of partial remains were buried or just tucked in the foliage?

The nysheriffs.org site says that both Samamtha Kibalo and her mother were white. This latest information states that both Baby Doe and Jane Doe No. 10 (the female west most set of remains thought to be Baby Doe's mother, or relative) were "noncaucasian". So that would rule Samantha out.

With all these body parts and on top of that different bodies mixed together, this case becomes very complicated to follow indeed.
