Now that we have a possible ID of the driver, I am thinking from a different perscpective: If he is the man she was arrested with in 2009, they had a long standing relationship. Busted together makes it seem like they were business partners or that he was her pimp. She trusted him enough to go with him to LI and go to JB's house. Something happened and she did not want to leave. The john calls the driver. She begs to stay there. So she was not afraid of JB and not afraid of the drifter,if he was JB's houseguest. When the driver came in the house to get her, she managed to escape and ran off. He crept down the street looking for her without calling her name. He caught up with her. CG saw him catch up with her. She has never been heard from again except for the strange incidents regarding the dr. He saw her, he didn't see her, he knew her, he didn't know her? He called her mother, he didn't call her mother. How do we have the information that he saw her wondering around looking sick and depressed? Is this on video or was this reported in the media? The dr looks extremely nervous in the video's I have seen. If this is not because he is involved, could it be that he knows who is and is afraid of them?

She said "they" are trying to kill me. I assumed "they" were the people at the party and the driver. What if she meant the driver and his associate(s)?

Who did the doc say this to? The reporter? I'll bet not! The way this is written makes it appear that the doc stated this directly to the reporter. I'm not buying it. No way, no how.

If it's from an unnamed LE source, reporter would have stated it.

Hi there Seaslug, on some news show they mentioned there were only 400 homes in Oak Beach. Does that seem right to you?

400 homes in Oak Beach? No way! There are maybe 400 homes on that entire stretch of beach from Captree to Jones Beach but on Oak Beach there are around 150.

The "commuters" I'm speaking about are workers who live on the mainland. The traffic gets so backed up sometimes during rush hour that it's quicker to drive over the causeways South and take Ocean Parkway for the East/West portion of the commute and travel back North at the other end. Also, for families who live in Suffolk, we'd take the Ocean Parkway to get to Jones Beach (it's scenic, it's fun and it's quicker). There seriously are MILLIONS of cars that take this route every year.

I think it is just a typo.

However...

Melissa was the second to be taken of the 4 they've found so far. 2007, 2009, 2010, 2010.

So if he DID confess to more than one, he was probably specific. We know he said something about killing Melissa after having sex with her. So he probably said and "the other girl." Or "those 6 other girls." I doubt he said "I committed murders."

So if he was specific and he was telling the truth... they WOULD have more bodies to find.

That might explain why they are SO sure there are more bodies.

That would also fit far more with the thinking that this guy is wanting to brag. If he gave Melissa's sister a number... bragging about how many he has killed.

That makes sense.

Okay, this is scary and creepy, but I wonder if he had been keeping her alive until then?

LE has said they believe Melissa was dead before the first phone call was made. I don't know. There have been a couple other cases where the family was taunted like this. Generally if the person was alive, they were heard on the phone call to further torture the family... if they weren't alive they weren't heard.

Hi. I tried to respond to this yesterday but it took a while to get registered.

We have been getting 4WD permits every year for almost 15 years. It is quite common to see people driving on the beach at all hours of the night. However, I may be mistaken but AFAIK all of the bodies were found on the north side of Ocean Parkway while the 4WD beaches are on the south side of OP.

I agree but imagine this- how perfect would it be if LE saw a 4X4 with a permit pulled over on the North Side of the road for the owner of that truck to say that he just came off the beach fishing and needed to inflate his tires some more (or tie down his fishing gear a bit better) for the drive home.

Do you think LE would think twice about this?

With that being said, the bodies were found to the West of the town access road to the beaches right? If so, then the SK possibly lives to the West in Nassau County!

It is possible to be a prostitute (and definitely a madam) at age 57. I saw several comments from johns on those review sites that suggested women were far too old to "arouse" them. Still, it seems more likely that an escort who goes by Italia just heard someone else's name and decided to use it. I can't quite discard it as an odd coincidence.

You know what is odd about that picture in the add? It is almost the exact opposite of adds from other escorts that I have been seeing. It could be on a Christmas card!! They look like they are in a nice home and have just finished dinner or something. They aren't even dressed sexy. Given the pictures that their 'customers' would have been used to seeing, this one just doesn't "fit". KWIM?
