odd choice of words for jb considering 8 women have been dumped and murdered right near his house and one is still missing. not to mention having a "party" with the missing one and his...drifter friend???!@!!

it's an awfully odd statement and poor choice of words coming from jb who also said that "his prayers are with the families" of the victims in other articles.

it really is a poor choice of words coming from jb. it also could explain why shannon was yelling "they're" after me, plural more than one.

the above link goes on to say jb was grilled by the cops as was the driver, yet we've not heard a peep from the driver. nor did the article state that jb's polygraph was inconclusive.

sk + accomplice? shannon said it herself to gc, "they're after me" in the video gc slips and says it then denies it after the reporter questions him and says she said "help me, help me" and that was all.

mentions cops won't say if they questioned this drifter. what i don't understand is why don't they name the drifter if they name jb? so the drifter takes off to georgia. hmm...

what is strange is the media makes no mention of this 2nd partier at jb's house. in the beginning we heard that sg ran from a "party" yet no definition of party was really given.
why has there been a media black out regarding this drifter at jb's?
if they've named jb, why not name the drifter?


so who hired shannon? first it's jb, now it's his 48yr old drifter friend. sounds fishy.
is this drifter the person le is "looking at" or is the drifter a diversion as they are still looking at jb, or both of them?

it sure makes one look really guilty when they run to georgia and tell their mother that their name might be in the paper in relation to these murders and to not worry.

"His mom told The Post yesterday that her son had contacted her after Gilbert's disappearance. She said she believes he is now somewhere in Georgia.

"He called me," she said. "He told me not to worry if his name was in the papers related to the case."

this is one suspect drifter. i'm surprised they aren't releasing his name. what did he take off when it got to hot in the kitchen?

There are a lot of articles that talk about these calls, including one recently in the NY Times saying that the caller's choice of locations (busy e.g. Penn Station) might indicate LE knowledge/connection, and others in which Melissa's family talk about them. I'm sure it's true.

Whoever killed her would have her personal possessions, including her cellphone. My understanding is that the calls were made from her own phone, after she disappeared - which implies the kiler kept the phone after killing her and used it to taunt the family (obviously the sister would answer when Mellissa's name came up on her phone.)

It's very creepy and an evil thing to do really.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with her pimp. She's one of the victims of the SK after all.

i'm going back to my first i agree with you all theory lol. after reading in one of the links that the voice was calm and bland, it doesn't fit with a pissed off pimp. the killer was playing games.
why did he single out melissa to harass her family? did she do something to piss him off? for some reason it seems he only choose her to harass the family.

Thinking about the Times article, maybe LE is trying to draw this guy out. I would think LE is monitoring CraigsList and other sites. If the SK is not what they say he is, Police or some other type of LE. This would put him at ease. If someone was after you and your 6 ft with blond hair but the description says your 5 foot 2 with Black hair your going to be like great I can continue doing what I'm doing.

I think a cop type is what they are zeroing in on, be it mall security type to fbi. The statements are to hopefully make him feel overconfident and make a mistake imo but either way they are to get him to make a mistake

a lot of serial killer profiling involves things like "attempts to make the police acedemy"
jobs with power, such as le, even rent a cops, btk was a dog catcher. it's the uniform and badge, yet the profile may not fit every sk. some sks may seek a job with "power" as its really only the power and control they want.

nowadays we have all these shows csi, dexter, and all this info via computers that if a criminal is smart, he'll look up what he needs to know. a serial killer who adapts with technology.

if the li and ac killers are one and the same ones, the mo has changed.
what is very unique is the spacing of the bodies into a row, and you have that the victims were all call girls.

the main thing being the spacing of bodies. not to mention close proximity to a beach.

now if it is the same killer(s) they have perfected the m.o.

no personal articles have been found on the girls, no clothes, jewelry. why go through attempts to make the identification process longer when they hardly hide the bodies?

if the victims were to be identified quickly, then people who know them become potential witnesses. as time passes, most all witnesses will forget details.
it seems that the killer(s) is someone who may have been seen by friends of the girls, drivers, pimps, non-acquaintances even and the sk doesn't want to take his chances of someone remembering one of the girls was seen with him.

if you go through the dotnetwork, there are so many unidentified cases, almost all are homicides that are unsolved. they can't even identify the victims, so it makes the homicide almost impossible if there aren't any witnesses.

imo, i think it's possible the killer(s) has spent time enough around these girls so that he is afraid that he'd be remembered by someone who either they knew or had seen them.

so he removes the personal affects from the victims to make it harder for le to identify them. the more time goes by the more possible witnesses forget.

it's possible it's a john who's "dated" the girls once before just to get a feel on things.

While I think that's entirely possible, I don't at all think a LE background is necessary. With all of the shows on TV nowadays, from Criminal Minds to the true crime stuff on ID, A&E, TruTv, HLN (the list goes on), I think the common person knows a lot more about investigative tactics than they used to.

NY POST reporting that one of the victims killed in Atlantic City in 2006 spent five weeks with her husband in Long Island shortly before she dissapeared.

This is very true it seems everyone knows what not to do for LE to catch them. The trick is actually pulling it off. It's one thing to know about DNA or Cell phone traces. Even a Cop would have to remain calm in a situation that is chaotic, like a Dead Person in front of you. Take a Bank Robbery you could plan everything down to the smallest details but to pull it off is another story altogether.

This new info about the mysterious drifter being there disturbs me greatly. What in heaven's name were they trying to do to her?

I read in one article (in the previous thread IIRC) which stated that Shannan's driver took her to meet the client somewhere. The client then drove her to his home. This is why Shannan couldn't give her location to 911. Was she told they were going to Fire Is. and that's how that rumor began?

I'll betcha she did not know that there would be two john's there that night! Something is just not adding up here. I reckon that is expected because I don't think for a New York minute that JB or any John, for that matter, would be completely truthful in order to cover their butt.

We know the escorts use fake names and I would bet that some johns do the same, especially the married ones.

Sadly, I don't think Shannan is alive. IDK why JB would think she is. Unless he knows something we don't, like they sold her into a trafficking ring or something.

Wouldn't you think he would have tried to hide his victims better to make it even more difficult to ID them?
Perhaps the area is one where he has easy to, is familiar with, and allows him to space his victims like he likes to - so he feels removing all personal effects will suffice.... but I looks like it hasn't...
