October 2016 to February 2018 is like 14-15 months--her hair could have grown quite a bit. Don't know how short "short" is or how long "long" is...

thats true! judging from the facial recon her hair comes to the top of her chest. i dont think she could have alive up until feb 2018...PMI is vague at 'months' sometime during 2017... im guessing perhaps september-november or march-may when it would be appropriate to wear light running clothes but with a hoodie? sorry that doesnt narrow it down much does it

That's even assuming the hair on the reconstruction is accurate. Sometimes they just put something that looks reasonable, because older remains often don't have hair attached.

PM intervals are so approximate, I don't like to rule out based on that, unless it's really obvious.

I think Marisela Guerrero is a great match, and should be submitted!

The similarities:

Marisela was
• a Hispanic female
• 51 years old
• 5'0"–5'2"
• 190–260 lbs, i.e., probably at least a size XL
• last seen in "New York County", i.e., Manhattan
• last seen on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

UP17517 was
✅ a Hispanic female (as Namus narrows down under Circumstances)
✅ 40–65 years old
✅ 5'0"–5'4"
✅ wore XXL tops and GapBody/Lululemon XL bottoms (see size charts)
✅ was found in Riverside Park, in Manhattan
❓ died "months" before being found on Thursday, February 1, 2018.

Now for the differences:

Hair Length
Marisela had "brown short hair," whereas "UP17517 had "long brown wavy/curly hair." But @carbuff pointed out, "short" and "long" are relative descriptions. I might say Marisela's hair looks long and wavy in her second photo on Namus.

Clothing
Marisela was last seen wearing a pink sweater and black pants. She also carried a pocketbook and did not carry a cellphone. But UP17517 had dark a black hoodie, blue/purple yoga pants, a black runner's pack, and iPhone headphones.

However, in a post dated October 9, 2016, the Facebook group "New York Lostnmissing" appears to preserve an earlier version of the Namus account, which states Marisela was last seen at 10:00 a.m. Could she have returned home at some point later in the day, and changed into a jogging outfit without being seen? It was a Saturday, so maybe she was off work, and it was her custom to go jogging on weekends.

Time of Death
Marisela's Namus case was created on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, four days after she was last seen. UP17517 was found on Thursday, February 1, 2018, having died "months" earlier in 2017, as she was "partially skeletonized." If it's Marisela, could her body really have lain there for 16 months without being seen?

I think it's possible. If she was in a "wooded area off of a bicycle path" according to the description, then cyclists would've missed her, as they're riding fast and keeping their eyes on the path. And there wouldn't be many pedestrians, since walking and biking paths are usually separate.

I think this recon makes her look too thin for the stats that we know about her.

So I went to bodyvisualizer.com and input the following:

Height: 62 inches, the median between 5'0"–5'4"
Weight: unknown, so I let the site predict it
Chest: 45 inches, using a No Boundaries size chart for her XXL tank top
Waist: 33 inches, using a Lululemon size chart for her size 12 yoga pants
Hips: 42 inches, also based on Lululemon's size 12
Inseam: 32 inches, also based on Lululemon's size 12
Exercise: unknown, so I let the site predict it

I feel like the result gives her more of a round face and a double chin not present in the recon.

Note that if you use these inputs, the site will predict her weight at 167 lbs., below Marisela's range of 190–260 lbs. But if I raise the weight to the lower end of 200 lbs., the face becomes rounder, and the rest of the body shape actually resembles Marisela's, in my opinion.

Try it for yourselves and see what you think.

Hello, glad to see people talking about this case. This is my first post on this site, and this unidentified person is the whole reason I created a Websleuths account. I'm new to this, but I also thought it was so odd that someone like this could not be missed and there was such a lack of media attention. Marisela is a great guess!

Is Marisela's NamUs page down for anybody else?

What about Luisa Aquilar (NamUs #MP34093)?
Luisa only has one ruleout on her Namus record (not this UID), and she is the right age, height, solid proportions. Would you turn this in as a possible match?

I noticed the NamUs file specifically says "iPhone headphones" were found, but not a phone. I'm guessing these were earbud style and they had the recognizable "lightning" plug that is unique to iPhones. I still have the ones that came with my old 5S model. They use a standard headphone jack, so the UID's iPhone would have been a newer model than that, and possibly a reason to be targeted for robbery.

Yes, emailed it in in February!

This fanny pack was found on the remains of the woman found beneath the George Washington Bridge. The fanny pack had thousands of dollars inside.

'Since February 2018, Dr. Angela Soler has been trying to identify a woman whose skeletal remains were found beneath the George Washington Bridge.'

"She had blunt force trauma to the torso that was consistent with a decent from a height," Soler said. "But, we don't know how, you know, how she might have descended from a height."

In other words, investigators can't figure out whether the woman jumped off the George Washington Bridge or if someone pushed her until they establish her identity.

Soler showed Eyewitness News the clothing the woman was wearing. It's been logged into evidence. They include size 12 Lululemon yoga pants, a black zip-up hoodie, black socks with a pink Under Armour logo and black Sketchers running shoes size 8.5.

She said they believe the woman was Hispanic or Caucasian, between 40 and 60 years old and was 5 foot 2 inches tall.

Soler said she was also wearing a fanny pack, which was holding two paper envelopes of cash containing thousands of dollars.''

She said the woman also had extensive dental work and they showed x-rays of the woman's teeth to some local dentists and no one recognized the work.

"You have an individual who obviously experienced something that was probably pretty horrible and that they're still not identified and back with their family, it's very sad," Soler said.

If you know anything about the identity of the people listed above, call the New York City Medical Examiner's Office at 212-447-2030.''

"The fanny pack had thousands of dollars inside". Is that the first time this was disclosed? It kind of argues against a robbery. It also seems less likely this was a jogger straying off a path. Who would go for a run with that much cash on them?
