Is there a bridge where parent or child or both could have jumped? Sorry I don't know the area.

Rest with the angels little one. How heartbreaking. Hoping the family who found him can find some comfort and peace. I cannot imagine the impact that will have on them.

Dad of baby found dead in river being held in Thailand

Authorities say Currie picked the child up from his mother's home on Saturday. Currie then took the child to his residence in Co-Op City in the Bronx.

Twenty-four hours later, police say Currie was spotted leaving the residence with what appeared to be a backpack rigged like a baby carrier and covered with a blanket.

Police said they believe the child was deceased at this time.

A custodial dispute...I am even more interested in the autopsy report now.

OMG. Poor lil thing.

Why?? Why not just drop the baby at Mom's and THEN leave town?? I wonder if something happened at Dad's and the baby was no longer living when he was thrown in the water.
That was my thought. :(

That poor mother too.

'Heartbreaking' Timeline Revealed in East River Baby Case

The mother of the infant who was found floating in the East River over the weekend allegedly attempted to get in touch with the child’s father before sensing something was amiss and contacting authorities Monday night to report a custodial dispute.

During the "blood curdling" call to 911, the mother said the child was not dropped off at daycare, Shea said, adding that at some point she'd heard about the child in the water, feared the worst and started crying.

It was because of this call that authorities were able to identify the child found in the river.

Sometimes things just really touch you, don't they? I have seen appalling cases on here and they have shocked and upset and angered me, but that poor mother's distress is really affecting me.
