Monday, April 29th:
*Pretrial Hearing (@ ET) – NY – Mason Saldana (7 mos) (Aug. 5, 2018, NYC-found in the East River) – *James Currie (37) “father” charged & arraigned (8/10/18) & indicted (9/21/18) with concealment of a human corpse. Plead not guilty. Held without bail.
Fled to Bangkok, Thailand on 8/6/18, but was detained at Bangkok airport, was extradited back to NYC 8/9/18. More charges expected after autopsy.
8/10/18 Update: Extradited from Thailand, landed in NYC on 8/9, arraigned 8/10. Judge issued a temporary order of protection and ordered Currie be held without bail. His next appearance is scheduled for Aug. 15.
8/31/18 Update: Next hearing is 9/21. 9/21/18: Officially indicted. Motion to continue pretrial filed by defense. Has hearing on Oct. 11. 10/11/18: Plead not guilty. Next hearing is 11/1. 11/1/18: Next hearing is 1/17/19. 1/17/19: Next hearing on 2/28.
2/28/19 Update: Next hearing on 4/29.

Hello - I shall be leaving on a Holiday to California!! And won't be around WS for at least 2 weeks (9/18 thru 10/2). So am going to post the hearing/trial that is coming up this week while I am gone. Please keep 'good' notes while I'm gone! LOL! I will definitely be way behind on all my cases I'm following.... but will try & peek in mid-way thru my vacation.

Authorities are investigating the death of a baby boy who was found floating in the water near the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan.

A family visiting from Oklahoma spotted the approximately 8-month-old boy in the shallow water near the shoreline at about 4 p.m. Sunday and alerted police. One of the family members went into the water and pulled the diaper-clad baby to shore.Chiropractor Monte Campbell said his wife, Diana Campbell, first noticed the baby.

I guess he was thrown away because he/she/they didn't need him any more... maybe the baby was crying too much...

What do LE and Child Services (whatever the name) do now? Contact all of the area hospitals about babies born "sometime around 7 months ago"? There are a lot of hospitals in NYC, and who knoze where the baby was born? Do all newborns in hospitals or birthing centers have their footprints taken like fingerprints? If so, is there a data base for comparison/match? Any birthmarks or other distinguishing marks on the child (after being left in the water)? Neighbors who knew a baby was in Apt. 🤬🤬🤬, but they stopped hearing or seeing the baby recently, but still seeing the caregivers? Yes, I'm sure the neighbors who noticed that will be eager to call that one into LE. And a picture of this baby? Found in the water? Don't think so. SMH
Another angel gets his wings. May he rest in peace.
So we wait.
