Off-duty NYPD officer kills man in Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot in apparent love triangle

WALLKILL, Orange County (WABC) -- An off-duty NYPD officer shot and killed a man and then himself in what police are describing as a love triangle, authorities said.

The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a Buffalo Wild Wings in Wallkill, in Orange County.

im sure he did that on purpose to hurt her and make her feel guilty for life. classic abuser.

IMHO Unfortunately, people have a tendency to react in many different ways regarding cheating lovers, betrayal (which some view as cheating), jealousy, and the level of the perceived personal affront. "Mistakes" are not always viewed in a casual manner. It is sad that three lives have been damaged by this incident. There was a time (I remember doing it) when your love situation went sour and you ate a half gallon of ice cream and cried on a friend's shoulder. Now not so much. Individuals seem to take their disappointment, hurt, and anger in more overt reactive ways that many times involve aggression and violence toward the individuals involved as well as innocent bystanders. Sorry for the families and friends who know each of these people.

as a LEO he should have been held to a standard. unfortunately, he was along w many abusive at home for whatever reason... stress, etc. i think the stats on violence in these situations are probably always similar.
