Glad he is in custody. Looking forward to hearing why.

Glad they finally apprehended him. I'm wondering if his car had a GPS device or did they find him by pinging his cell phone. Anyway My heart goes out to these children.

What a 🤬🤬🤬. What a monster. Pure Evil

These poor children.

One of his "reasons" is supposed to be financial difficulties. Wow, I can't see how murdering his wife will help in that area.

From the Newsday link.

"He's a good man who was taking care of six kids," Ferrante said. "All he's thinking about now is the kids." The family is scrambling to take the children in and to get them grief counseling. "It's trying, to say the least," Ferrante said.

He should've thought about the kids before he murdered their mother. :furious:

Retired transit cop indicted in wife's murder

LAKE GROVE - A retired New York City transit officer has been indicted in the murder of his wife.

Paul Leitgeb, 49, faced a judge today on second-degree murder charges.
Authorities say a 911 call brought them to the couple’s Lake Grove home on Oct. 1.

Police found the body of Tricia Odierna, 42, inside the home.
Prosecutors say Leitgeb hit his wife in the head with a baseball bat and strangled her.
The district attorney says Leitgeb then fled and was found several days later a few miles off the Apalachian Trail in Palling, New York.
