Wonderful news that she's been found alive. Hopefully we'll hear more about what happened. I'm trying not to be cynical, because right now she's a victim. I hope they report on this kidnapping and escape.

I, too, hope they report on it. As a local I feel it is important to know if there is a danger to the public and whether we have a kidnapper on the loose. If they're going to report no then I feel they need to back that up with proof so that we can feel safe again. I'm sure they'll report on any arrest(s) which may very well answer that question. Her and family do deserve privacy but I understand where you are coming from as well.

Time will tell. If the details about how the campsite were left are true, they definitely scream abduction. If she was not abducted then they scene must have been staged. I would like to think she would not do that to her friends and family -- leave them worried like that, that is.

To me it sounds like she was taken by someone she knew and someone who had knowingly been at her campsite before. We know it's not true they found no evidence of no one other than her being there. She is not the only person to have ever been there so they HAD to have found some other evidence. They just are not revealing it.

Additionally, we know it's not true that dogs could not track her scent. She lived there! Of course her scent was there (and if it really wasn't there at all, then the dogs' findings are invalid because it is known she was there at some point). They are holding all of these details very close to the vest.

I respect your opinion and I know a lot of people agree with you. IMO, this was not a voluntary disappearance.

If she did indeed disappear voluntarily, would the person who was harboring her be held liable for not reporting what they knew? I understand she is an adult and can disappear if she chooses so I'm unsure how that would work.
