Did a bit of digging and this stood out to me. Could the person have met her at the cabin where she was staying and found out her situation to come back almost 2 months later?

Runaway bride theory? I'm not sure about that. Run away from what? She was already away. She was away from it all in the woods for cripes sakes. I don't think she was away voluntarily.

The only way I could see that is if she had a sudden psychotic episode. I hear early 20s for onset of schizophrenia. But still I don't think so.

It sounds to me like an abduction. I hope we do hear the whole story.

Will be interesting to hear what LE has to say. Reminds me of the NH case where the victim (AH) was abducted on her way home from school and returned 9 months later. People didn't believe her abduction story, either. Especially since she lied (fear) when she came back. They did find her abductor/abuser (Nate Kibby, for those interested) and he was sentenced to 45+ years for her kidnapping, assault, sexual assault. Just because the circumstances seem odd, doesn't mean she wasn't abducted. Let's let the truth come out.

Reminds me more of Sahray Barber. Cell phone and laptop found in bushes, family said she would never be out of contact with them, and after a week or so she saw herself on TV and called home.

I am so happy she is home. Regardless of the "how" and "why". I was so heartbroken every time I saw her twinkling eyes and mischievous smile. To know she is still going to be able to enjoy nature and be a joy to her friends and family makes me smile. I only hope she can overcome whatever happened to her and not let it ruin her free spirit. At least we know how much support this young woman has. All threads should end just this way.

Now having said that, I'm dying to know all of it. Car door, camper door, ignition, radio, etc etc.

A family friend states that Rachel is saying she was held against her will. I think this is an abduction by someone she knows.

I, too, hope they report on it. As a local I feel it is important to know if there is a danger to the public and whether we have a kidnapper on the loose. If they're going to report no then I feel they need to back that up with proof so that we can feel safe again. I'm sure they'll report on any arrest(s) which may very well answer that question. Her and family do deserve privacy but I understand where you are coming from as well.

I'm thinking a domesticated hostage situation where a partner refuses to let you go until after days of arguments and threats. Idk

I'm just glad that she is safe.

I am surprised by her being found alive. I am thrilled for her and her family whatever the circumstances were. It is always nice to see Found Alive in front of a heading. Doesn't happen often enough.

I have followed this for a few weeks now. Glad she is home and safe. However two things seem to stick out to me. This family friend seems to chime in a lot about things. Also her being abducted. This is just one of them stories from the beginning that i felt things were being left out. I don't know whatever I guess were see at the presser with what they say.

She probably has met and had a "relationship" with this person.
Didn't she move recently? It could have been a change of scenery.
