Couldn’t this woman keep her story straight? She might consider keeping notes of what she is saying.
This is annoying!

Journalist: Did he had any psychological or emotional issues?
IM: NO!

And now:

"I know he had a really nervous energy about him in the days before he disappeared," she said. "The kids were studying for finals at the time, so all my focus was on them."

If the normal places weren't checked for a week - then how was the wallet found by 4pm the very day he went missing, 1 hour after he was expected home? JMO but isn't that what we heard early on? Or was I dreaming?

Yes and I will again state that it would be a very huge injustice to RM if information that could help find him was being withheld all for the sake of someone else's need for privacy.

There is a reason why the car seat was pushed closer and all I can see here (a gut instict) is a very short woman parking that car at the train station. It has stuck in my head from the start. Someone who knew exactly where he parked that car when he went to that train station. IMO it is our ONLY real clue that there was some kind of cover up but the perp made a fatal error by forgetting to push that car seat back. It is going to be the one clue that breaks this case. Watch. They always leave a clue, even if unintentional.

BBM

These were the first things that struck me about this case. Along with the fact that RM's wallet, iPhone, and the $300. in cash were found in the garage—and he supposedly takes off without them, makes me think of foul play. Even if he was going to start a new life, why drop that stuff off at home??? I don't get it. Also, why would he go on an errand without them?

Maybe he wanted to go for a quick bike ride and he decided not to bring the phone, because the battery died? His wallet was left behind because it was uncomfortable in his pocket?

I'm curious as to exactly when the bike was discovered missing. Was it after the car seat was found pushed forward?

CC-- you just reminded me of a question------How many verified insiders do we have??? I am thinking of something I posted yesterday---we have one that I know of from IM's family--do we have anymore from RM's family--or a neighbor, a Union member, friend of RM?????? It would be very different info ===maybe we are weighting too heavily the info from one source?????

I am only aware of one NCNY and he said he was IM's closest living relative. Does anyone else know of another? <modsnip>

The bike was noticed to be missing a few days after RM went missing. After they found the car.

For what it is worth, Huffington Post gets details wrong and/or different from other earlier media reports in a lot of cases, i.e. the bit about one drawer vs. different drawers could be an example of this. JMO

I agree! We have to keep this in mind. Huffpost is into headlines (getting eyes on their site for ad revenue). They did a butcher job on the McStay missing family case back in April. They took a FBI announcement and exaggerated and omitted certain details. Tread lightly when reading their articles.

One verified insider, NCNY. Anybody else who may be an insider here is not verified.

Do you think it's possible the story changes to get more attention when it starts to fall off?

Thing is he still has a union card right?
If he moves elsewhere he can still work use union card and collect benefits right?

I suspect he would need to be licensed in the state he wants to work. It appears he only has a NY license and maybe a NJ license too, since he lived on LI his whole life. I don't think a NY license is good anywhere else. States like control of those kinds of things, because of the potential for scams and safety violations.

Yes I do. We said that in previous posts.

Seems that way but, how do you time the release of an article to coincide with waning interest on WS? If they want more attention, they should have never shut down FB. Admittedly, it was a zoo. But, people were talking about Rob. Word was spreading. The vine has been severed. Is anyone publicly talking about Rob besides us?

IIRC it was just a photo of a red GTO. I believe it was put together before the picture of RM's actual car was released.

IMO there is no such thing as a "druggie type" it can affect people regardless of ethnicity, health, age, or economic background. What you are refering to are druggies after years or even just months of abuse. If someone had just started using or only did it recreationally, one may not show signs of wear and tear for ohhhhh lets say ...90 days....also, I would submit that there are alot of people on prescription drugs...more than you may realize. Many would suprise you...showing zero outward signs even after years...... working in behavior health, many of my clients have dual diagnoses....neither of which you would know about to look at or talk to them..

I agree. I was shocked when I found out that one of my co-workers was in rehab. I didn't have a clue she had issues with drugs (pain killers). She ended up never coming back to the job. I eventually found out she started a Yoga studio in coastal Maine, which was a big switch in occupation. I think she may have divorced her husband too. She looked healthy to me prior to rehab. The only clue of an issue, is that she seemed slightly edgy at times, but in my mind that could have been caused by stress or annoyance with the job. I know people who act like that without being addicted to drugs . . .

Yes, but he would need his paper work, which I believe he left behind. He would have to gather that stuff by applying for copies at all the appropriate agencies, I suspect. He may have his local electrician's ID card, but is that enough???

This is an example from the NYC master electricians license requirements:

Photo ID (driver license)
 Original Social Security Card
 Original birth certificate, current passport or Green Card
 Proof of residence with a utility bill, lease or deed Note: Cell phone bills will not be accepted
 Latest pay stub or W-2
 Two (2) passport sized photographs
 $500 background fee
 $91.50 fingerprint fee

With the background check, they will find out he is missing, I would think . . .

and tests. They must take the test again.

Ya know if this man took off and left his family and his life behind hes not worried about being an electrician.

I also think if hes alive and left on his own he has a new Identity, JMO
