Maybe as "outdoorsy" as is possible in one of the 5 boroughs of NYC.

LE said no foul play in regards to RM's disappearance, but perhaps a crime occurred before or separate from his disappearance. Hence holding the car because it was used in the commission of a crime.

I would preface that as possible "rumor", as we cannot verify.
BUT, I do find it very interesting. Makes me wonder.

BBM - What on earth gave them that idea? :floorlaugh:
I got nothing here but wanted to say thanks very much for your input.

Btw this is doing nothing to help me let go of the club that I've been stuck on since the beginning, which most likely has nothing to do with anything. I sure would like to move my thinking past that, the lunch box + tools. But I tend to get like a dog with a bone + it'll be a spell before I let it go I reckon.
IMOO, somewhere along the way, the trunk was emptied of all contents.
But then we hear the lock was broken? I never got stuck on the club, the bike, the lunch pail or the tools. But that's just MOO.

Long Island isn't one of the NYC boroughs. He probably likes working around the yard, IMO.

Maybe he likes grass between his toes---he grew up on LI. You'd be surprised how many LI'ers hate NYC and consider Queens and Brooklyn these strange places near NYC. I speak from family experience. lol

So my take away is that NCNY would be of the opinion that RM could rough it outdoors if he had to.

heading out for the night sweetlings---everyone have a great night and be safe. Maybe tomorrow will be a "newsy" day!!

IIRC--there was apossibility of suicide b/c his elder brother committed suicide as well. I think his car was found near where the brother died.
It was a theory. Not very likely, IMHO. His brother did. Not in that area, in another state, by water. RG's car was left by water. His hard drive destroyed was later found in that water. Just my questionable memory again. Sorry about O/T but I just wanted to clarify his car was not found near where his brother died.
Back to Robert...

Hey, people from a cool, groovy, far-out generation man!! :)

IMOO.
:silly:

Funny thing language. Grass evolves into weeds. This is supposedly an improvement.
Sorry sorry. Couldn't help myself. I'll put myself in the O/T corner now.

Okay kids, it's pretty bad when a cat takes a few hours to celebrate her mom's birthday and comes back to this kind of fighting! When the only post I can leave up is about grass and weeds, we're in a mess.

To clear things up, ForceTen was asking for a link because she did not understand what "let the cat out of the bag" meant. When I said no link was needed since it was an opinion, that is true. However, FT (and I for that matter) still doesn't understand what "let the cat out of the bag" means. So, in your opinion, can you be a bit more direct and explain what that means?

Now, stop bickering about boroughs and counties and each other. Breathe.

He seems suburban rather than urban. In other words, he may not like living on top of other people. He likes his space (decent size yard, other homes not too close, etc.). This is my impression.

Most definitely!
Evidence could very well have been found.
Ya know its true when LE is silent they usually have their eyes on the prize!

The Police must have dusted this car for prints, seeing that the seat was pulled forward for a shorter person. I always put the seat back to it's orginal position when someone shorter drives it or if I had to move it to get something out. A tall person NEVER wants to cram themself into a seat pulled forward when they get back in, and this is a habit if you need leg room. Maybe they do have their eyes on the prize but need to be careful about how and when to move in. It may be that the prints can be explained by a family member driving the car at some point and do not want to throw away the whole ball of wax by being shot down with a good legal defense. Maybe they need more before they make their move. Maybe they are watching someone's behavior and who they associate with in the wake of his exit.

On another note the reason no one is talking is because possibly they have no friends.
Probably because of past situation!
Would explain the lack of concern here!
And why Robert was home every night!

All JMO

There actually are people who have no friends, just family. He may very well have been the kind of guy who woke up, went to work, came home, ate, watched tv, went to sleep, then did stuff with the kids on the weekends. Some people do not have many friends and other people have hundreds of friends. What has me confused is when you have kids, you are kind of forced to be around other people and neighbors due to their activities and interests. His immediate circle is being very quiet, maybe because they think he left and it is none of their business. I can not remember a case like this where the neighbors did not come out and say stuff like "yeah, he was a nice guy - I used to see him out here mowing the lawn, he coached the little league with my husband, he used to give blood at the blood drives, he helped my aging mother mow her lawn." Absolutely no neighbors or co-workers were interviewed. Strange.

Any locals been around the Pilgrim site? Any stories or experiences? Just curious.

How do we know his brother committed suicide? This is the first I am reading about this. It does not mean he committed suicide, but it may indicate that people in his family suffer from depression. If that is the case, then why didn't the wife come out and say he could be in a depressed state? When people are depressed they alienate themselves from people long before they commit suicide.

I am pretty confident that RM did not have a brother who committed suicide. Where are you getting this info from? WTH? These far out theories are getting....far out.

I don't remember where that came from, haven't looked back. It may have been zapped even. Is there a link for the suicidal brother?

  • #700
They were discussing Ray Gricar(spelling) for the brother and suicide... not RM
