For the Law Enforcement & Volunteers of Dannemora Prison Escape

:rose: thank you :heartbeat:

Several explanations on how that delivery system is used. It is NOT for contraband. It is for the poor guys stuck in the guard towers

I'm not buying that. The delivery was made from OUTSIDE the prison wall -- meaning that it wasn't inspected before the guard tower guys got it.

Police are on the bridges crossing the Saranac #prisonbreakny

Thanks for posting those photos, Queen Bee. I was just wondering how difficult it would be to wade or swim across the Saranac river in that area, and looks doable.

If sighting today was accurate (and if previous sightings in the Ryan/Cringle Road/Bucks Corner Road earlier were accurate), sounds like they've crossed the Saranac river and are very close to Clinton State Forest.

I've been wondering what these guys have been doing for food. Maybe they had some with them in that guitar case, or were able to scavenge some on the way out of town. But they've been on the run now for over a week. I wonder if either of them has wilderness survival skills?

I don't understand what those two are thinking, if they're still in Clinton they know their chances of getting out from there are slim, so what, they intend to live in the woods forever? I'm totally baffled by this whole situation!
Moo as usual.

I'm a bit surprised by that as well. If they are actually still in the area, sounds like they didn't have a "Plan B" when Tillie failed to pick them up. And, if they don't have any sort of map or compass with them, it could be that they're wandering a bit aimlessly, trying to lay low in wooded areas (of which there's plenty). I've even wondered if they haven't succumbed to starvation and cool nights. Also, if they DID cross the Saranac in the past couple days...why didn't they just follow it either east to Lake Champlain (and from there to Vermont or Canada) or southwest down to the Adirondacks. Why stay in the area? If they swam or waded either upstream or downstream, they'd throw off the dogs (sounds like the dogs haven't picked up anything recently anyway).

CNN reported earlier today that one of the escapees had marine training and some of that is considered survivalist training. And if one is a genius, like his son in WNY claims, we may be up for a long search.

From Queenie's link:

CALLS TO FAMILY

Mrs. Mitchell did not supply Matt and Sweat with a cellphone, as has been rumored.

"She made phone calls on their behalf to family members between Oct. 13 to May 1," Wylie said, but those calls were just of a friendly manner.

The escape was not the subject of discussion, he said.

Mrs. Mitchell felt affection for both men, Wylie said. He would not comment on whether any kind of sexual activity was involved.

Could very well be. For one thing, the state can only devote 800 police officers to the search for so long. If the escapees aren't found soon, they'd eventually have to scale down the search.

I'm guessing they're doing most of their moving at night, and just laying low in the underbrush in the daytime.

I've been looking at the maps and terrain. They were allegedly seen a couple days earlier in the Ryan-Cringle Road area. They could follow Cringle Road right down to Water Street, where the Saranac river loops in. There's enough forested area along Cringle Road where they could just follow the road, but stay actually in the forest where they couldn't be seen. When they reached River Street, they could maintain tree cover all the way to the road, and just a quick dash across, and then back into tree cover. The power lines run along the river there, and they could have followed those down to the Hardscrabble Road area (although they'd have to cross the river). Alternatively, they could have entered the river right around where Cringle meets Water Street, and just let the current float them down awhile (this would throw the dogs off).

sooooo anyone still feel sorry for two-timin' tillie?

honestly, i feel they had her so duped......she was not even part of their "end game", only a means to an end.......

i don't know whether she showed up and they were already gone and then she knew she'd been duped and THEN had the panic attack or whether she really did have the attack and didn't go....she was just a tiny player in this orchestrated production..........

but either way......she was NOT their final plan, they only used her for parts and to get out and then they were GONE..........

WHAT A FOOL

why would she need to kill her husband?

she wouldn't.........they only told her that because they "loved" her"...........and it flattered her that they "knew" she deserved better than ole lyle and would take her away from all this.........she probably cried on a shoulder or two....wha wha
