If they made it to Mexico they can easily enough go on to Central America or South America.

I was thinking South America as well either via water or through Mexico. Where could they hide forever in this country?

Can't believe Matt would want to live like a hermit for the rest of his life. He's a ladies man who was engaged to a woman who was a stripper. He'll want the company of women at some point.

So....they have no idea where these two are?

Don't think they could hide forever anywhere in the U.S. South America, however, is another story. That's where a lot of the well known Nazis hid out pretty successfully after WWII. There are also huge cities where Matt could have access to all the women he wanted.

When you go to a foreign country, unless you have a visa, you need a return ticket . If you do not have one, they make you buy one right then and there. How easy is it to make a fake passport nowadays?

I just had a passport made, albeit it was an EU passport, but they electronically took my fingerprints. Do they do that now with US passports?

The Nazis had a ton of money. Where would those jokers get money unless they robbed and killed for it?

Does anyone think they could be dead by now? Even perhaps one of them? Drowned in the river if that was crossed? Just wondering...

We can hope.

Sweat has back pain. Yes! Gong through the tunnels must have been a nightmare.

Or did he fake back pain to get drugs?

nah, there's a beach right across from our house in the thousand islands called "mallorytown"- sandy bottom, really nice for swimming, etc. you can dock and go into the little pier area. all you need to do after docking when cruising across the narrow river (5 min. boat ride) is pick up a relay phone and phone your entrance into the canadian border patrol. half the time they don't even answer. super easy.

in the winter, drug traffikers go across the ice on snow mobiles (or boats in the summer at night) in like two seconds, stealth mode, and drop off drugs or money.

there's a lot of ICE, border patrol, etc patrol up there (a good friend of ours is actually stationed there) but the area is so massive that it's easy to slip through.

Mexico? even bigger of a joke. but my guess is canada. the RMP will pick them up for sure.

they could have had hypothermia if there were nights cold enough and it's entirely possible in june to still have a couple freezing nights. OR they could have made for water asap and snatched a boat/canoe/kayak from a cabin that wasn't opened for the season yet and crossed that way.

The RMP is why I don't think they went to Canada. Mexico is a whole 'nother thing. There's a million ways in without a passport & a gringo in Mexico is not all that unusual. Matt likely has friends from his Mexican jail days who could offer assistance & even money & possibly get them jobs with some drug cartel. It is a sad fact that a lot of the Mexican police are notoriously corrupt & a little money or a favor of some kind could leave the bad guys free for a long time or maybe forever. I also suspect that whoever helped them escape also provided them with enough money to get out of the US.

Brilllant my dear Sherlock I think you have solved it. The railroad is best idea I have heard - perfect. A guitar case filled with three days of food and water. Look at some of the pics millions of places to hop a train with noone around. Someone with "directionial " sense - was the place where they were suppossedly spotted, in relation to the prison and heading for Lake Champlain is that logical. Need like three x's! Prsion, spotting, Lake Champlain......

Question posed with more clarity: does the spotting look like they were heading in the direction of the RR system?

There were several sightings last week in the area where Ryan/Cringle Road and Bucks Corner Rd meet -- credible enough for LE to concentrate a huge search in the area. So, from prison to that point would be less than 3 miles south.

On Saturday (I think) a sighting was made across the Saranac River (to the east) in the Hardscrabble Road area. Credible enough for LE to move their search over to that direction. If you look on the map and follow Cringle Road down to the end -- it ends right at the Saranac River, where there's a loop. They could have entered the river there and floating downstream right to the Hardscrabble Road area. This would have been taking them east, in the direction of Lake Champlain -- at that point (Hardscrabble Rd) they'd be about 6 miles (as the crow flies) and southeast from the prison.

If their objective was Lake Champlain (where the railroad tracks are) OR Vermont, (which is on the other side of the lake) they would have about an 11 mile hike due east from Hardscrabble Road -- that could be done in 3 or 4 hours.

If they're in the woods, wouldn't they be ravaged by poison ivy/oak/sumac and ticks? And mosquitos. Never mind bears if they were carrying a stash of food. Unless they're holed up in a cabin, I can't imagine they could be out in the woods at this point.

A source with direct knowledge of the investigation told CNN that prison tailor Joyce Mitchell knew the inmates had plotted to kill her husband, told him about their plans to break out of the facility and warned him that his life could be in danger.

But a lawyer representing Lyle Mitchell said the husband, who also worked in the prison's tailoring block, was kept in the dark.

"He didn't know anything about the escape plan," attorney Peter Dumas said.

Oh dear. Somebody is not being truthful.

Her husband Lyle Mitchell, who also works at the Dannemora prison, visited her in jail Tuesday. Her attorney Stephen Johnston told the AP he was supportive and denied any plot existed to have him killed, but his lawyer Peter Dumas denied he was OK with her alleged affairs and possible involvement in the escape.

"Nothing could be further from the truth," Dumas told the Daily Mail, adding that he plans to leave her. "He said 'there's no way I'm standing behind her.'"

Lyle and Tillie aren't quite on the same page, are they. :crosseyed:

Here are progression photos of Sweat (l) and Matt (r) to give an idea of what they may look like now. #PrisonBreakNY

I'd really like to see a photo of Matt's grill. No doubt it would be vomit-inducing, but I'm dying to see what his metal chompers look like.

I could see how the discussion probably went.

Tilly: "Hey Lyle. You are not going to believe this but there are a couple of guys in the prison that are planning to breakout. Just thought I would let you know since they are dangerous."

(purposely leaving out the part about her being the one that handed them hacksaw blades, having sex with them in the work room, and the plan involved murdering Lyle specifically).
