Many people don't understand that a prison is like a powder keg ready to go off at any time as it is. Things like tv's, radios, privileges, vocational programs, religious services, relieve the pressure a bit. Take it all away...kaboom.

I'm not saying there would not be prisons with day rooms with one tv, but you can imagine that one tv for a number of inmates could easily be a problem. There may be a day room with a tv for prisoners who can't afford their own tv as well.

Me too, I've been spending too much time here.

County jails have dayrooms with one tv, I know that much. Definitely no tvs in the cells in county lockup.

I have a new attitude about these guys - we will never ever hear from either one ever again. They don't want to go back to jail and probably are not suicidal. They currently are managing to stay "escaped" why ruin a good thing? Unless they slip up and there's an accidental sighting of one of them alone and someone calls it in AND the person can be re-found by LE to confirm or deny either way, this is already over and has been since before anyone woke up to find them missing that day.

IMO

Sorry OT, can someone please provide a link for discussion on the horrific case unfolding in Charleston, SC. Thanks!

IMO these 2 will be caught. When is the million dollar question. Soon, years? John Walsh said he was going to profile these 2 on his first show returning in July. It may help. Let's hope we dont go this long but.......

BBM- that has been my opinion from the start. These guys planned their escape before and after leaving the prison very carefully. They had a plan that didn't include Tillie. I won't say we will never hear of these guys again. I think it could be years before we do tho. IMO

Personally, I don't believe they'll be caught. I feel like if they were going to be caught, it would have happened already. It's like a murder or missing person being best solved in 48 hours. It's hard after that. Especially if two criminally intelligent people are involved. They don't want to go back and are going to do anything they can to not.

CNN just reporting Matt had given Tillie a painting. Could have swore I heard of her Children (didn't know she had more than one?) Tillie in turn gave it to Lyle for an Anniversary gift! Lordy!!!! So she would have to have given Matt a picture for him to paint it. I cant wrap my head around this woman.

So we can add new charges of being a "Re-Gifter". LOL :)

I keep thinking they just got real lucky and found an abandoned house or cabin not too far from the prison. I still think they are right there within 7 miles or so from the prison in a remote house or cabin with plenty of supplies.

I just hope they have not killed or tied up the owners if the owners were there when they found it. If it was vacant, then when the owners decide to visit their place it could get nasty.

I keep thinking they are right there and the cards are playing out just like they hoped. They are allowing much time to pass so that LE thinks they have left the area. In about a month or sooner if the owners show up then we will hear about them again. I expect a report of a break in or a report of a sighting in about 3 or 4 more weeks.

"The husband of a prison worker charged with helping two convicted killers escape from an upstate New York prison "can't stand by her" and was "blown away" when she revealed a plot to murder him, his lawyer said on Thursday."
<snip>
""He was just blown away by what was coming out," Dumas said. "The fact that she told him that these two inmates had a plot to kill him. She also had told him that she was not in agreement with it, that she was getting threatened by the inmates at that point.""

<snip>
""He realizes he can't stand by her, that she's kind of made her own bed in this situation and he's got to distance himself from that," Dumas said."

That part there kind of makes it sound like he wants to but his lawyer advises against it, doesn't it? maybe it's just me.

"She was previously investigated after a co-worker complained she had an inappropriate relationship with Sweat. The probe was concluded without disciplinary action, although she and Sweat were ordered separated, authorities said.

When that investigation was underway, Lyle Mitchell said "the inmate came up to him and assured him that there was no inappropriate relationship, his wife assured him there was no inappropriate relationship, that they just worked together," Dumas said."

They have personality disorders. They cannot change who they are.

They will get angry or disappointed and act out. They did not have a spiritual awakening and are going to turn their lives around.

They will have to have money. And maybe someone will turn them in for a reward
