He didn't comply, eh? Sounds like he wanted to go down like Matt and LE didn't give him what he wanted. I'm really glad a VT officer killed Matt and a NY officer didn't kill Sweat (at least, not out right). No question at all about what LE priorities were.

CNN said Sweat was following a 'firebreak' - a trail that is made through the forest to help stop forest fires.

That's the first time I've heard that.

A lot of things LE knew all along that none of us knew will probably come out now.

They knew if they kept the pressure up it would drive him out of the woods into the open. There he tried to hide in plain sight. He probably had his hoodie up and was trying to walk along nonchalantly like an ordinary citizen.

I think they eyed him really well before going in to stop him. They knew the size and build was right and he probably was walking like he was very tired and fatigued.

Just glad this is finally over. It has been an amazing breakout and eventual kill/capture of both inmates.

It makes me wonder how it would have turned out if Tilly had got them the vehicle. Probably be a different ending and they may have been free for a lot longer.
