That is why I was adamant about my girls. This is the norm and not the unheard of. It doesn't surprise me, but it does make me angry at the moms that didn't see it happening to their daughters. You cannot bury your head in the sand and I have never done that. I played an active role in protecting mine. I always told them when they accused me of being so overprotective, "but you will not see your face on a milk carton somewhere."
If she was worried enough about her cheating spouse to tail him...she would never have allowed him to take the babysitter home. Who cares about what she did or did not do. She didn't act on whatever she knew about him and it cost a girl her life.
