Okay, another followup: The CP site administrator does not know the person who emailed her the information that precipitated the 4/15 update. She said she frequently gets and uses information from strangers, and that by and large, the information turns out to be reliable. (This put me in mind of your
earlier post, Rose: "Maybe The Charlie Project is the tabloid MP site where rumor is fact, publishing speculation as fact with no links.")
However, she suggested I email the person directly and I have done that. I will let you know if and when I get an answer.
You know, it is a definite possibility that this person will turn out to be a WS sleuth ... I think anyone could have easily drawn the conclusion from the source materials that the glasses were (1) broken and (2) recovered. The problem I have is not with that, or with the zealous decision to recommend an update to the CP site, but with the information being published unchecked by CP. JMO. On the other hand, maybe the person will turn out to be connected to the case somehow ...
All right, outa here ... I feel like a one-woman show this morning. I am probably avoiding thinking about the fact that I have to go take a very old, very sick cat to be put down today.
Sweet dreams, Inky Man.
