'STUPID' PELOSI JURY QUIZ

September 9, 2004 -- The prosecutor in the Danny Pelosi murder trial raised eyebrows yesterday when she asked a potential juror if she believed it would be possible for a killer to be "stupid enough" to blab about a heinous crime.

Kato, you will be happy to know that the reporter covering this trial is Kieran Crowley. I have read a book by him about the Dr. Robert Bierenbaum trial. So you should count on a Pelosi book.

Oh yeah, I read that book. What a moron. Thought he could get away with it just because there was no body.

Don't mean to speak ill if the dead but it shows Generosa's lack of taste in men except for Ted. She was a witch.

Phone message could be a key
Lawyers for Daniel Pelosi say a call from Theodore Ammon to a friend may shed light on events of his death

BY ROBIN TOPPING

September 11, 2004

Hours before East Hampton millionaire Theodore Ammon was killed, he called a friend to tell her he was afraid of some men on what he believed was a gay beach.

According to an April 5 letter written by Assistant District Attorney Janet Albertson, Ammon made the phone call at 9:44 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2001, to Lori Finkel, a friend of Ammon from Manhattan who had a home in Bridgehampton.

Lisa: I finally got over here to look at this case - sorry it took me so long.

Wow, that last Newsday article was something else! This case has every kind of strange detail anyone could imagine. Is it going to be televised?

No, ThoughtFox, it will not because the NY Legislature in their wisdom <cough cough--- they have NONE> chose to let the TV in courtrooms "experiment" die and not revive it. So no NY State trial is televised.

However, because of the sexy nature of this trial, I wonder if CTV might not cover it. It's also out on Long Island, close by, so that might increase the likelihood. It's such a juicy case, with money, sex, murder and mystery!

I hope others will come over to this lonely little thread and if there's enough interest, perhaps Danny boy or maybe Ted Ammon can rightly get a forum of his own.

EDITED TO ADD: TF, you like Columbo, too? Which episode was "How to Dial a Murder"---- was it Nicol Williamson, the motivational guru who murdered his friend for having the affair with his wife by setting his dogs on him with the trigger word "Rosebud"??

Jury selection in the sensational case is continuing this week.

kato, a few years ago, Vanity Fair magazine did an indepth story on all of the characters associated with the family and this murder. I think it was before Generosa died, but it was almost as good as reading a book. I have always wondered when/if Pelosi would go to trial for the murder.

Pelosi jury is
on fast track

Jury selection for the murder trial of Long Island electrician Danny Pelosi got a whole lot faster yesterday.
Instead of being interviewed individually, potential jurors were quizzed by the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney in large groups.

"This way, jurors will be less bored.

This is going faster," said Pelosi attorney Gerald Shargel.

It took three days last week to interview 14 possible jurors. Yesterday, groups of 17 potential jurors were interviewed at once.

Suffolk County authorities expect the jury of 12, plus six alternates, to be chosen by the end of this week.

Pelosi, 41, is accused of bludgeoning millionaire Ted Ammon to death in Ammon's East Hampton mansion three years ago.

Three months after the slaying, Pelosi married Ammon's wealthy widow.

She died last year of cancer - after cutting Pelosi out of her will.

JERKY JURORS HAVE PELOSI CASE IN CHAOS

By KIERAN CROWLEY
September 15, 2004 -- The trial of Long Island contractor Danny Pelosi was thrown into chaos yesterday when more than a dozen prospective jurors said they would refuse to serve on the panel with an "obnoxious" and "annoying" man, sources said.
And 20 other would-be jurors have said they had a problem with another man who they believe has prejudged the case.

Potential juror disrupts selection

BY ROBIN TOPPING

September 15, 2004

Concerns about comments made by a prospective juror in the Daniel Pelosi murder trial yesterday halted jury selection, as the judge conducted interviews to make sure members of the jury pool could still be impartial if picked for the case.

State Supreme Court Justice Robert Doyle spoke to each juror individually in his Riverhead courtroom after a group of prospective jurors approached a court officer yesterday morning complaining about one man's conduct.

PELOSI JURORS ARE YANKED

September 16, 2004 -- Two prospective jurors at the murder trial of contractor Danny Pelosi were tossed yesterday because other potential panelists claimed they were disruptive.
Prosecutor Janet Albertson eliminated a pony-tailed man who other potential jurors claimed was "annoying and gabby."

Defense lawyer Gerald Shargel then eliminated another man wearing diamond stud earrings after a woman juror claimed he had already made up his mind that Pelosi was guilty of killing millionaire Ted Ammon.

MURDER IN THE HAMPTONS
A self-described hustler with outsized bravado. A woman on the outs with her millionaire husband. And a high-profile trial that opens this week.

Financier Theodore Ammon

As he paced the edge of the gravel driveway outside the sprawling, ivy-covered home, Jerry Larsen told himself he'd better not screw up this one.

The swirl of red and white lights and police sirens were nothing new. Larsen had been a cop in East Hampton village for 17 years. He had climbed to the rank of lieutenant, and was a favorite to become the department's next chief.

But this was his first homicide. Only the second in the village since it was incorporated in 1920.

Linda, it's NY State. My wonderful state legislature (cough cough) let the "experiment" lapse. LOSERS! No cameras in NYS courtrooms. BUT I have written asking them to send a reporter and give us updates.

Maybe if others clamor for coverage....?

JAIL RATS MAY TURN ON PELOSI

September 21, 2004 -- Jailhouse snitches who claim millionaire Ted Ammon's accused killer Danny Pelosi made incriminating statements may testify at his trial, The Post has learned.
A source said two men on prosecutor Janet Albertson's potential witness list have been recent residents at the Suffolk County Jail in Riverhead, L.I., where Pelosi, 41, is being held without bail.

DOZEN JURORS PICKED IN PELOSI TRIAL

By Robin Topping
Staff Writer

September 25, 2004

A real estate broker from Southampton, a homemaker from Oakdale, and an operating room technician from Huntington are among the nine women and three men chosen for the jury that will determine whether Daniel Pelosi will be acquitted or convicted of murder.

They were picked during an arduous three weeks of jury selection, marked by intense questioning about how the pre-trial publicity on the sensational case had influenced the jury pool. The last two of four alternates are expected to be picked on Monday, paving the way for the start next week of Pelosi's murder trial in Riverhead.
