Happy Mother's Day JBR sleuthers

It's been awhile since I participated in any of the JBR forum threads - and quite honestly, I haven't had enough free time to keep up-to-date with the case lately.

Gotta say though - after reading this thread, I was most impressed with Jayelle's well written posts. My feelings & sentiments closely parallel hers - Jayelle just expressed it so much more succinctly than I would have.

I too am obessed with true crime as real life pales to fiction it started for me with the MacDonald murders, I lived just a short distance from Castle Drive.

I've never gotten into it either; however, I'm curious why it held the attention of the public so extremely and for so long. Maybe there are some sociological textbooks which explore the public reaction.

Well, I'm not so sure about that. I don't know much about Mr.Lindbergh, but I find it very peculiar that such a famous man was able to entirely hide a total SECOND FAMILY, living in a foreign country, I mean that is extreme.... it's not like he wasn't famous in his time.

Probably because it was a different era without the desparate need to full 24 hours news programs no matter what. Those who knew or suspected clearly kept quiet just as others did about Kennedy's philanderings.

Excellent post Jayelles! There is absolutely no excuse for the Ramseys to wait four months to talk to investigators.

What really gets my goat is that John Ramsey KNEW that the parents are the first to be looked at and instead of clearing himself and his family, he hires high powered DEFENSE attorneys and Investigators. That to me makes me believe a Ramsey is guilty.

When Danielle VanDamm went missing, Danielles father was out looking for her while her mother was on the phone with 911 and she could be heard asking her sons if they had seen or heard anything. Knowing that they were initial suspects, Danielles father vacuumed the living room because he was smoking pot there the night before. But they did not hesitate when grilled by police.

I find the Ramseys behavior despicable.
