Maybe we can figure it out for ourselves. We know the address where she got off the first bus, and we have a photo of the house on Fuller. Anyone want to take Google map guy for a walk? I'll do it, but can't get to it until later - so if someone can do it now, go for it.

I can't resist doing it now. :) Gimme a minute.

Thanks, skib. I've been waiting for a positive ID to update my map. I've also been holding off because the timeline is so sketchy. Hoping to get some clarity on exactly where and at what time she was at the named locations.

Oh :blushing: Sorry! I did one anyway and you are right, we need clarity because the timeline doesn't make any sense.

Mom saw her board bus to school at 6:38am, 3400 block of 149th
Aunt says she got off bus nr 93rd and Kingsman
Principle said seen outside School at 6:50am (school is E Prep. located at 1415 E 36th)
Later (time unknown) seen with another girl at McDonalds nr 93rd and Kingsman
Bus driver said he dropped her off on Broadway at 3:20pm (where, it's a very long road)
(source)

Police are asking for witnesses who might have seen her at 6:50am nr 93rd and Kingsman.

She can't have got to school to be seen at 6:50, it makes no sense. Someone is mistaken or not telling the truth.

AHA!

93rd and Kingsman is very near where she was found in the house, just a couple of blocks.

NOW the differing reports is making sense because I made the same mistake. I was thinking she was last seen when she got off the first bus in the morning. In that scenario, she was found 2.6 miles away.

But if the driver is correct that he let her off that afternoon at 93rd and Kingsman, she was found just a couple of blocks away.

The afternoon sighting from the bus driver does make more sense. But WHO?

What was the weather like that day? Would she have accepted a ride because of inclement weather?

Can someone local opine whether this is a truly abandoned house, or if could be a crack house where people are going in and out and squatting there?

To "walk" the block where she was found: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.469...dWG_cUzc2d82FXuu8Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1

The houses are far apart, though I would think someone would notice a car outside an abandoned house? With all the snow, did the perp park in the street? (The link above shows the street in the summer, but the photo posted a few posts above shows the snow and unshoveled front porch.)

Maybe someone walked with her? Is that possible in the weather?

I'm reading it that she got off the bus at 93rd and Kingsman on her WAY to school, at 6:50 AM and was seen at the McDonalds with another girl.

Alianna's mother says she watched the 14-year-old board a bus early Thursday morning on her way to school, a regular routine.
She attends E Prep. located at 1415 E 36th St.

According to Defreeze's Aunt, the teen left Thursday morning at exactly 6:38 a.m., going from the area of 147th and Kinsman towards Tower City.
Around 93rd and Kinsman, she reportedly got off.

It's 7.7 miles from where she got on the bus to school.

It's 2.5 miles from where she got on the bus to East 93rd/Kingsman

Got on the bus at 6:38am. Seen at School at 6:50am? OR gets off at East 93rd/Kingsman at 6:50am

I think it's the latter. 12 minutes is not long enough for the bus to get to School for her to be seen outside. Not in morning traffic, not when the bus makes stops no doubt. I think the seen outside School and dropped off by bus at 3:20pm are mistakes. The police are asking if anyone saw her at East 93rd/Kingsman at 6:50am, why would they be doing that if she was confirmed to be seen outside school, over 5 miles away?

Happy to be wrong lol

bbm - I think 93rd and Kingsman was in the morning at 6.50am.

CPD wants to talk to anyone in the area of E 93 St& Kinsman at 6:50 Thursday am, who may have seen 14 yr old Alianna Defreeze.

Well, IF the afternoon drop-off is correct, it looks like it was raining at that time, which might explain why could possibly accept a ride (which we do NOT know she did, AFAIK).

I wish we had verification if she was in school that Thursday.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, IMO times are definitely off! There is no way she got on one bus at 6:38 am, as witnessed by Mom, changed busses, and was seen outside of school at 6:50 am, as principal is stating.

That is 12 minutes folks. Did the second bus wait on her daily knowing she would be boarding? When did busses ever run on such precision timing, especially on snowy days?

Are there any locals that can tell us about this bus route she took to school? How long of a ride? How busy at 6:30 am? Do you think it possible to make the connection and arrive in 12 minutes?

My opinions only.

It's not far from the McDonalds to where she was found. So that might make sense. Maybe they were approached by someone while at McD and Alianna went with them.

I wonder whether that girl who was with her at McD was a friend from school or someone she met there (older perhaps) and who lured her.

  • #136
Unbelievable there is still no identification almost 24 hours after this girl was found! Just returned, so must go back to read several pages, however it appears there is nothing new. So sorry and sad for the family of Alianna.

No problem, skib. Thank you for the map. But you see what I mean? The timeline that we've been trying to piece together doesn't work. Was she last seen in the morning? At school? McDonald's? Or in the afternoon getting off the bus on Broadway at 3:20 p.m.? The fact that LE is looking for witnesses who were near E 93rd and Kinsman around 6:50 a.m. sounds like they're working on the theory she met her abductor in the morning.

So how about the afternoon bus and the all-day bus pass? Is that information accurate? If so, where was she all day? Did she attend school any portion of the day? It's frustrating. That's why I back off at this point, and wait to see what shakes out.

As for the delay in confirming an ID, it's possible LE is holding back to see if the killer gets frustrated, him/herself, and slips up. Just a thought.

Sorry itd I added a bit more lol

I saw!

It does seem like the morning is the correct time for her to have gone missing (though I do like my "rain" theory....I will give it up).

I'm not local, but I've researched other Cleveland murders pretty thoroughly. Did many google map strolls and reading. From what I gleaned, there are many vacant properties in the area. It's certainly possible that some are used by squatters, especially in winter.

I should add that this is not the first murder victim to be found in an abandoned house in that neighborhood. And at least one victim escaped, and said she was dragged to an abandoned house.

Do you see a pattern, other than location, with the other cases?

And, does Alianna fit the pattern?
