.
I heard someone with very high pitched screaming one time.. They were having a psychotic break. Wouldn't surprise me if after his lawyers say it looks too bad to plead not guilty, the sicko pleads insanity.
Bbm.
A little early yet... but I'd put money on the bolded.
I'm going to be broke before this case is finished, and the trial is over, and he's been sentenced.
Just kidding.
Fwiw, I believe LE have CF dead to rights.

"Sorry, your honor, I had a temporary blackout and had no idea of what I'd done because I have mental issues."
IF --& I believe he was -- functioning mentally at a competent level (i.e., able to hold a job and do other tasks of life ? ) , a sudden episode of insanity is going to be a hard sell.

Also wanted to add it does a great disservice to those who struggle with legitimate mental health issues and who responsibly take their prescribed meds and have never harmed anyone !

It's early in this investigation and we don't know if CF was ever insane, but I'm doubtful.
Had he ever been diagnosed with insanity before murdering Ashley ?

I'm getting a picture of a man who drifted from job to job and I'm betting Ashley might have been the glue that held them together.
Horribly tragic any way you view it.
Omo.

SPECULATION: If Ashley was the dependable reliable adult in the relationship who kept the trains running on time while the accused willy nillied from job to job, dream to dream, he may have resented her "mothering" but at the same time HE dumped all that responsibility of keeping him on track right in her lap.

"I'm in the bedroom with her right now. My daughters are in their room." "I was with the children when it happened"
- (Gemmie here - @ 2:30am???)

"They're in their room. They aren't even awake".

- (Gemmie here - So..... just what was he supposedly DOING in his little girl's bedroom at 2:30am while the house was getting burglarized and his wife was shot in the head in their bed? He can't even come up with a halfass decent lie.

Faker crybaby murderer.

IMO he and the girls were sick and they didn't want Ashley to get sick too.

I can't make the leap from CF not wanting to expose his wife to sickness, but having no issue with murdering her. More likely, they had been having marital problems over a possible affair and she put him out of the marital bed. JMO and MOO

Plus, don't most men sleep on the couch if no spare bedroom? He passed up a couch for the floor? Unless he had them share a bed and he slept in one of theirs. I'm still calling BS on that. He wasn't in their room when it happened. No way, no how. He was in his own bedroom shooting his wife in the head. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

From Plunder Studios:

UPDATE: People are debating the language of this Ohio court document. Some claim Ashley was not pregnant, but alleged rumors claim the 23-year-old might be pregnant.

Ashley Flynn was pregnant: Her unborn baby was killed when Caleb Flynn allegedly shot his wife in the head

As if this sad case can't get any worse: "In documents reviewed by Court TV, investigators say that Flynn used a 9mm handgun to murder Ashley, who was pregnant at the time. The unborn baby was killed as well."

Caleb appeared in court today, and he had the nerve to tell the judge, as he looked up at the camera, "Sir, I just want to take care of my daughters. I'm not a risk."

I'm guessing the 23-year-old being alluded to is his rumored gf? If so, surely more people than just the two of them knew of the affair. His wife almost certainly had learned of or at least heard of it. JMO

Yeah but don't you think he planned an explanation for why he slept in the room with their daughters? I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it comes out eventually.

IMO I think he was likely initially in the children’s room to ensure they were asleep before he went to ‘check’ on their mother.

Granted he might have also been in that room for reasons in addition to the one above. It seems that was the primary reason.

And he thought it to be cover for how he ‘missed’ anyone slaying his wife. (Taking care of my kids. SMH)

He knew so little it seemed on the 911 call. But he knew the garage door was open IIRC? Can’t wait to hear counsel explain all of this. Publicly or in the court record.

And I imagine that inquisitive wise 911 dispatch individual asking good clarifying questions of the ‘distraught husband’ / now arrested murder suspect - helped illuminate the contrived suspicious story of the events he told in the house. MOO

IMHO his reason was that he couldn't divorce her and be with his affair partner because that would make him look bad / church wouldn't accept it / Bible says it's wrong. Seems to be par for the course in a lot of these cases - these men think divorce is world-ending for them, but murder is okay (as long as they don't get caught!).
Seems like that's already 2 strikes on his Go to Heaven Bingo card. I'm sure there's more,
