RIP Ashley [emoji257]
Her "mother" looks like a zombie...I'm not sure if she's in shock or just does not care about what she has done
Her "father" looks like he is in waaay over his head
I'm thinking they had to hide her in the roof...there are not many other places she could have been

I've also thought of food storage. Chinese kitchens order alot of stuff in bulk. Also I have seen huge prep tubs filled with pre-prepared food. My mind went there as well. I read early the first day someone on SM claimed they were told she was in the duct system. (Which might explain the paper on the front if she was in celling). Ugh. This poor child.I've been catching up on the posts. This story is truly heartbreaking. The poor little girl. IMO I've seen the back in a few Chinese restaurants and takeaways. I'm not sure how different the practices are in the UK and US but they have these big boxes where they keep prawn crackers. When they said her body was concealed it would be an interesting spot as I can't imagine LE looking directly in the food. And a child her size could be easily concealed until they could move her. Just MHO.
IMO . It's just sad they would go through so much effort to hide her rather than get help. I will say one thing that stands out to me is the 'green fluid' coming from her mouth. I don't know too much about brain injuries but I did my best to research it but cant see what the connection was. Unless she was already sick. When the restaurant page kept mentioning the mother being sick, maybe it was the little girl who was sick a lot and they needed to look after her. But stated it was the mother to avoid suspicions. WHat if the mother hit the girl but she had a weakened immune system, or was to weak to handle the abuse leading to her death. This is just MO.I've also thought of food storage. While I'm here, no way did two punches to the head kill her. (While not impossible) I'm thinking we will find out more after autopsy. I wonder if it wasn't her fists she used, or if there were additional injuries. 

A father called 911 to say that his five-year-old daughter was missing before her body was found stuffed in the wall of the family's Chinese restaurant.
Liang Zhao, 34, called authorities on Monday to say that he couldn't find his daughter who had been asleep the last time she was seen.

I am not doubting this is a possibility, but have you found this bolded info anywhere else? I can only find this one report so far, yet the article also states "Jackson Township police haven't provided details on how she was hidden. "
It makes me wonder if the article is truly accurate. I do believe the Daily Mail is not always our best source for accuracy, but I may be wrong.
If true, it reminds me of Annie Le, student murdered in lab at Yale and her body was found in the wall.
There is more information in this article.

Maybe the second pic in second photo is not the actual restaurant? The first pic clearly shows the parents just inside the door, behind the counter.
A question I have is WHY did they even bring her to the restaurant?
It just doesn't make sense. But then, the whole thing doesn't make much sense to me anyway.
"... but no one has claimed the body of little Ashley Zhao as of late Friday morning. Funeral or memorial services also remain unknown."
(How horrible. WTF is going on inside this family? Poor Angel.)
The pick is super zoomed. I think it's just a trick of the camera making the counter look so close to the front door.I'm having trouble reconciling two photos of the layout of the restaurant.
In this photo, the counter appears to be just beyond the door:

See very next post for the other photo . . .(site would not let me include both photos in same post for some reason)
A spokesperson for the New York Law Firm that represented MingMing Chen said that she was ordered to be deported by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in December 2012, the highest court to which she could have appealed to stay in the United States.
Court records show Chen applied for asylum in early 2009 based on her religion, political opinion, and membership in a "particular social group" explaining she practiced Falun Gong, a Chinese spiritual practice for which she claimed individuals were persecuted by the Chinese government.
An immigration judge determined that Chen was not credible based in part on inconsistencies between her testimony, written submissions, and supporting evidence and ordered her removed to China.
During the appeal in 2012, court records show that Chen claimed after she fled China her brother was arrested for the same practice.
She also claimed to have been detained in an education camp for one month, and that she owed an aunt $20,000 to repay money loaned to pay a person referred to as a "snakehead" who smuggled her into the United States.
Her final appeal for asylum was denied in 2012 and according to the law firm that represented her in the case, Chen was ordered to be deported and was expected to be deported immediately.
Her attorneys said she was notified, but they could not explain why she was still in the United States.
